Acorn Class is Gothic Mede Academy’s very own preschool setting catering for children aged 3-4.

We are a small, nurturing, teacher lead setting. We aim to provide a safe, happy environment where each child feels valued and is able to reach their full potential. Our dedicated team, plan a wide range of exciting opportunities for children to develop holistically in all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. Learning through play is central to all we do and we provide opportunities to be articulate, collaborative, creative, imaginative, active and ready to start in Reception.

We offer 15 hours a week. Any children who receive additional free hours e.g. 30 hours, will be able to use the rest of their allocation at BEST Nursery next door, where they continue to be supported in their educational journey, in partnership with the Gothic Mede Academy Acorn team. There is also the option to self-fund additional hours at BEST Nursery.
