News from Arlesey Community Events

Firstly, well done to Mia and Yasmin Patel who came 1st and 2nd in our Easter Bonnet competition and a huge thank you to everyone who took part.

The Queen's 70th anniversary Jubilee is nearly here, time for us to celebrate the amazing act of service and sacrifice she has given to our country. We hope you have already started visiting our Jubilee Scarecrows.

Winners will be announced at the Jubilee Party in the Park on June 4th (see below.) We hope you will be able to join us on the Recreation Ground between 4-7pm. There will be performances by the students from Gothic Mede Academy, Gifford Dance Academy and Jordan Semmens Performing Arts Group.

There will be live music from Yasmin Towndrow, an ABBA tribute group and the Muskrat Duo.

The children can take part in free circus skills workshops, races and bounce to their hearts content on the bouncy castles while the adults enjoy afternoon tea,

the BBQ and the bar! We will be having a visit from a Disney Princess, the ice cream man, and lots of other treats! Please bring your own chairs, picnic blankets and friends! And your dog if you have one, as Luna will be holding a jubilee dog show! It will be great to spend the afternoon together as a community after 2 years of COVID! Thank you to Arlesey Town Council for all their help and financial support that has allowed this event to take place. Get that red, white and blue bunting out and let's get Arlesey's in the Jubilee mood!
