L’ultima volta è stata l’estate scorsa all’apertura di “Dream on Ice” con Carolina Kostner». “Val di Fassa Artistico Ghiaccio” è inoltre un punto di riferimento anche per i corsi di avviamento al pattinaggio pure per gli adulti, a dimostrazione di quanto, dopo tanti anni di attività la società sia attiva, abbia voglia di crescere ed entusiasmare le giovani generazioni.
Crystal wings for the “Silver Butterflies” Despite its young athletes, the “Val di Fassa figure-skating club – Pavei d’Arjent” boasts more the twenty years of history. The club was founded in 1994 and suddenly became renowned on the national and international figure-skating panorama. The club produced numerous talented skaters such as Martina Bernard from Pozza that from many years performs in numerous ice
skating shows all around the world. Moreover, others brilliant athletes that grew up in the club such as, Caterina Nemela, Monica Bernard and Adele Battisti, are now teachers of the Silver Butterflies. «Girls competing in races - explains the president Christine Detomas Planchensteiner - work out ten months a year, six day a week and from September to April, they take part in the international competitions. Since 10 years, we organize and host the European Cup of figure skating, an international competition (circuit Europa Criterium) with athletes from all the world». The international competition is more intriguing if, more than the pure talent, traditions are involved. For this reason, the club developed the project “Ladin te l sport” in order to enrich their performances with the peculiarity of Ladin traditions. For this reason, the club was given the name “Pavei d’Arjent” (silver butterflies in Ladin). «More than ten years ago, - explains Christine - we put on stage the ball “Bal del Moliné” a figure ice skating group performance with traditional Ladin dresses specifically tailored for the competition on the ice rink. This special ball was the opening exhibition of the last year show “Dream on Ice” with the special guest Carolina Kostner».
