AOA 2013 Grand Medal: Teodoro Fernández
Architect Teodoro Fernández - with the office he leads - is recognized for both his buildings and landscaping works. His portfolio includes the remodeling of Mapocho Station - which at the time received the Fermín Vivaceta and Santa Sofia awards - the Scuola Italiana, the Bicentennial Moneda Building and the San Joaquin Campus Chapel, as well as the Bicentennial Park of Vitacura, the recovery of the Quinta Normal Park of Santiago and the Inés de Suárez Park in Providencia, considered among the most important urban parks recently developed in Santiago. He is currently a professor at the School of Architecture of the Catholic University and is preparing the construction of the Citizens Park at the National Stadium in Ñuñoa, after winning the public competition organized in 2011.
