A light-hearted info rendition from the BADM batch for upcoming intake as part of NAFA Open House 2020. Planning, team scouting, illustration & layout design and printing are all done within three days. “BADM Survival Kit 2020� is a pocket-sized publication to entail our personal story in the degree studies. Ranging from interview, essay, overseas exchange and studio, each assorted spread is meant to be collected while venturing with student ambassadors.

Each sheet, by default, is separated from one another, and to be collected as they roam about the Open House booth and approach the student ambassadors.


An ode to one of the most influential Surrealism artist.

“Memoria” is a decorative script type dedicated to Salvador Dali. Inspired from one of his paintings, The Persistence of Time, this type serves as a personification of the great artist himself; notably eccentric and grandiose.”

Typography Experimental Design


To my shock, I was unable to come close to replicate exactly the same C that I have done using the blue marker.

lacks the curvy and organic element still looks too standard

personally this has the ample baance and the organic wave I aim to develop

I could have pinpointed 1001 errors in my type anatomy but it will take forever, so let me indicate some which I find disturbing and need improvement.

pointy edge is intimidating

contrast is more evident here, G does feel unique with the connected dash

for better or worse, J looks ambiguous.

too round, it lacks the organic element

In general, the main issues would be on consistency and the interplay between thick and thin stroke.

Instead of the C, now it is the 0 that is having the representative Dali vibe.


After By comparing these two developments, I find that while conisstency is slightly more maintained at the 1st draft, the 2nd draft contains more personality, especially with some ligatures.



A typographic rendition of Indonesia’s ancient art form.

“Wayang Zaman Now” aims to celebrate wayang kulit in a modern light. By developing 36 glyphs based on the anatomy of the wayang kulit, the decorative typeface serves to promote shadow puppetry digitally, which could be utilized as digital stickers or headline display.

A cross-generational event branding

Spark is a concept-based event branding that aims to bridge conversation between the youths and senior citizens in Singapore. Inspired from the 70s design style, the brand is devised to give an ode to Singapore pioneers.

An integrated app design aimed to elevate shopping experience

“Shoperon� is a digital app to faciliatate collective shopping experience. Collecting points while playing games and redeeming prizes at selected vendors, shoppers can enjoy equal contribution amongst active shoppers and waiting friends. After the app is designed and won us the Bootcamp Co-Winning Prize, our idea were extended to a mini roadshow at NAFA Open House 2019 as part of user testing experience.
