When I was searching for insects, this Cyclops Jumping Spider (Opisthoncus polyphemus) came out from its hiding place and curiously followed my camera lens. These photos are taken during the artist’s cafe trips around Medan, she love to experiment with food photography in her graphic design. A single photograph is sometimes not enough to tell the big picture - therefore colages is also a method to compile your thoughts together as a unsequenced series. 16.Ayu

Alifa Raisyah & Felicia Winarsa

This project illustrates the harsh reality that Indonesian women have to face for generations, where they are constrained by customs that limit their freedom to express themselves. Taken from the Javanese language, "Ayu" means beautiful. Through this project, we want to redefine the notion of beauty as a woman's freedom of self-expression.

What the Space Holds

Cong

It was a lonely afternoon when the sun shines through the openings within the buildings. With the frame of the building, it casts a sombre atmosphere into the space. What used to be a bustling space where services were on the heat, the sudden halt turned all these places into an abandoned relic. The lights and fans marks the remnants of human presence within the vicinity.
