Editorial Dear Members Happy New Year to each one of you. Year 2024, a leap year , shall see Motherhood club grow by leaps and bound as it has in the past , all thanks to the members .

Motherhood club and its team spent the month of December thinking how to grow Motherhood Club in 2024 and what all should we focus our energy and resources on.

The mission and vision is clear that our focus shall continue to remain on Health , Wealth and Happiness. 2024 shall also see a lot more focus on our flagship Talk show where in Mothers and Fathers Life journey of Motherhood/parenthood will be shared.

2024 shall also see a exponential growth in Kulture Kona and our keen interest towards literature. Already two story anthologies are in the pipeline which are due to be launched in Feb-March. 2024 shall also be the year of some changes in Antarman, E Newsletter, and some new initiatives towards bringing change in the society.

The year end also saw Motherhood Club Founders Recognition being given to Mr. Kamal Nimodia , Ms Swetha Sundar and Ms Jayashree Sriram for their contribution towards the growth of Motherhood Club.

As the founder of Motherhood Club it gives me immense pleasure in congratulating the Core team - Ms Ila Pachauri and Ms Monica Goel Diwan for their relentless efforts in 2023 and hoping that we shall see a lot more from them in 2024 too. As the editor in chief of Antarman I congratulate our Co-editor Mr. Mukesh Bhatnagar and the Members of the Editorial Team - Ms Ila Pachauri & Mr Kamal Nimodia for ensuring that every month Antarman is released on the designated date. We are proud to share that we have successfully and very consistently launched the Newsletter on 10th of Every Month. "मदरहुड क्लब के साल-2023 का लेखा जोखा" साल 2023 को हम मदरहुड क्लब के मंच से देते शुभ शुभ विदा, साल भर कु छ न कु छ हलचल रही, उन्हीं शानदार लम्हों पर हम रहे फ़िदा। मदरहुड क्लब की आन बान और शान है, यह त्रिवेणी संगम, एकता, इला और मोनिका की यह तिकड़ी है अनुपम। आरोग्य, वैभव, आनंद, मनोरंजन, कला की करती निरंतर पूर्ति, दुर्गा, लक्ष्मी और सरस्वती की यह नारायणी त्रिमूर्ति। तरह तरह के काम यहां पर चलते रहते, जैसे चांद सितारे नभ में रोज चमकते रहते। राष्ट्रीय युवा दिवस आयोजन से हुआ साल का दमदार आग़ाज़, मनाएंगे पूरा साल ऐसे ही जोश और खरोश से, गूंजी यही आवाज़। गणतंत्र दिवस और बसंत पंचमी खूब मनाई, लोकतंत्र और ऋतु बसंत की महिमा मित्रों ने गाई। विश्व कैं सर दिवस पर, दुखियों के मन में आस जगाई, मदरहुड क्लब के सदस्य साथियों ने मिलकर चौथी सालगिरह मनाई। "कामयाबों को ईनाम (Achiever's Awards)" का मान दिया, Illuminating the Path के अनोखे अभियान से "अंधेरी राहों को रोशन किया"। लगातार लिखने वालों के नाम शोहरत की दीवार "Wall of Fame" पर अंकित किए। और भी बेहतर जिन्होंने था किया, नाम उनके प्रसिद्धि के आगार "Hall of Fame" में सुसज्जित किए। फिर आया होली का त्यौहार, रंग-गुलाल, भांग, गुझिया, हंसी -ठिठौली, रंगोली, हंसगुल्ले, हंसिकाएं, महिला दिवस हो, भला महिलाएं इसे जोश औ उत्साह से क्यों न मनाएं? "विश्व कविता दिवस" पर "Poetry Meet & Greet" मनाया, हमारे क्लब के साथियों ने भी अपनी कविताओं और गीतों से भांति भांति का रंग जमाया। "ओपन माइक कार्यक्रम" में, सृजनशील रचनाकारों ने, स्वरचित कहानियां सुनाई, एक और दिन, ओपन माइक में, कवि मित्रों ने स्वरचित कविता, गीतों की सरिता बहाई। फिर मानसून का मौसम आया "बरसी बदरिया सावन की", बदराया मौसम, भीगा तन, हर्षाया मन, ऋतु आई मनभावन की। इसी बीच उपन्यास सम्राट, मुंशी प्रेमचंद की जन्मजयंती आई, क्लब के लेखक मित्रों ने, प्रेमचंद जी के सम्मान में, स्वरचित कहानियां पढ़ कर सुनाई।

आई फिर हरियाली तीज, रक्षाबंधन और ओणम, स्वतंत्रता का पर्व मनाया, त्यौहार राष्ट्र का सर्वोत्तम। चंद्रयान-3 उतरा चंदा पर, दुनिया ने देखी क्षमता हमारी, "प्रोजेक्ट लेनटर्न" में रही मदरहुड क्लब की सक्रिय भागीदारी। विश्व साक्षरता दिवस, हिंदी पखवाड़ा, हिंदी दिवस का भी हुआ आयोजन, श्रीकृ ष्ण जन्माष्टमी व गणेश चतुर्थी को समर्पित हुए, साथी भक्तजन। नवरात्रि और दुर्गा पूजा, शक्ति आराधना के स्तंभ, विजय दशमी पर्व द्योतक, टूटा दशानन का दंभ। प्रकाश पर्व दीपावली मनाई, दीपों की पंक्तियां सजाई, बधाई, शुभकामनाएं, इक दूजे को, बांटी खुशियां और मिठाई। साल का फिर आखिरी पैगाम आया, क्रिसमस आया, क्रिसमस आया, सांता सबके लिए अपने झोले में, खुशियां लाया, गिफ्ट लाया, के क लाया। समय समय पर, मदरहुड क्लब की अगुवाई में, सदस्य मित्रों ने, निभाया मानवीय कर्तव्य हमारा, जो थे निस्सहाय, क्षमता सीमित, उनमें कइयों के बने सहारा। यह तो रहे साल 2023 के मुख्य विशेष घटनाक्रम, इनके अलावा और भी हुए कई, स्थाई, नियमित कार्यक्रम। मदरहुड क्लब की दो अनुपम, अनुषंगी इकाई, "कल्चर कोना" और मासिक ई-पत्रिका "अंतर्मन" सबके मन को हैं भायी। प्रांप्ट चुनौती, कल्चर कोना, लिखो कहानी, हर सोमवार, रचना चित्र, गीत, कविता की, साथी करते, हर बुधवार। गुरुवार को विशेष विचार, फ्राईडे फं डा हर शुक्रवार, विविध विषय पर ज्ञान बढ़ाते, क्लब के साथी जानकार। विषय विशेष पर वार्ताएं आयोजित, ज्ञानवर्धक, उपयोगी साक्षात्कार, भांति भांति के विषय उपयोगी, ज्ञानी, गुणिजन को नमस्कार। मासिक ई-पत्रिका "Antarमन" अभिव्यक्त करे, मित्रों के मन के उद्गार, आरोग्य, वैभव, आनंद इसके प्रमुख सशक्त स्तंभ और आधार। अद्भुत प्रतिभा व्यक्त करती नियमित, हमारी अपनी श्वेता सुंदर, प्रोत्साहित करती मां जयश्री श्रीराम, कदम मिलाती सारधा अय्यर। उमंग जी भी उमंग बढ़ाती, अंजू क्वात्रा देती उत्तम भावों को अंजाम, सुरक्षा जी की सरस रचनाएं, हासिल करती उच्च मुकाम।

बीते वर्ष का पुनरावलोकन सूरज का मद्धम होना, कोहरे का अल सुबह धरती को धीरे धीरे अपने आगोश में लेना, आभास करा जाता है कि शीघ्र ही साल अपने वार और माह के चक्र में घूमते हुए पूर्णता की ओर बढ़ रहा है। दिसंबर माह में पग रखते ही, मस्तिष्क संपूर्ण वर्ष का पुनरावलोकन स्वयं ही करने लगता है। मुझे स्मरण है कि 2023 की सुबह का आगाज देहरादून की खूबसूरत वादियों में हुआ था। वहां की सुबह सूरज की चमकीली रोशनी बिखेर रही थी। वहां या तो बारिश होती है या धूप। इसलिए कह सकते हैं कि सर्दियां बड़ी रंगबिरंगी और मनमोहक होती हैं। वहां से मसूरी थोड़ी ही दूरी पर है। इस वर्ष मैं अपनी बचपन की सखियों के साथ लगभग 30 वर्ष बाद मिली हूं। सब खोई हुई थी, फे सबुक ने फिर से मिलाया। वहां की कु छ फोटो भी आपके साथ साझा करुं गी। फे सबुक से मुझे मेरे दोस्त ही नहीं अपितु कु छ अच्छे मंच भी मिले जिसमें से एक है 'मदरहुड क्लब'। इस में मुझे बहुत ही स्नेह और प्रोत्साहन मिला। मदरहुड क्लब ने 26 मार्च को 'शीरोज कै फे ' में अद्भुत आयोजन किया। जिसमें, नई सदस्य होने के बावजूद, मुझे काव्य पाठ का अवसर दिया गया। मदरहुड क्लब एक बहुत ही प्यारा और एक दूसरे को प्रोत्साहित करने वाला सम्माननीय परिवार है। मदरहुड क्लब ने 10 अप्रैल को 'ओपन माइक स्टोरी' का आयोजन किया जिसमें श्रेष्ठ रचनाकारों के साथ मैंने भी अपनी कहानियां पढ़ी। वह दिन मेरी स्मृति में सदा के लिए अंकित हो गया है। क्योंकि इस तरह का जन्मदिन मैंने इस साल से पहले नहीं मनाया था। इसके पश्चात, तो यह सिलसिला जारी है। वर्षा ऋतु में 'आया सावन झूम के ' हो या अन्य कोई कार्यक्रम। उस में साझेदारी या सुनना, एक नियमित दिनचर्या में आ गया है। सितंबर में पतिदेव का तबादला दिल्ली में हो गया और हम अक्तू बर में गाजियाबाद आ गए। पूर्ण वर्ष का अवलोकन करते हुए लगता है कि पूरा वर्ष कु छ न कु छ मिलता रहा और उसकी खुशबू से हमारा परिवार महक रहा है। मेरी आगामी वर्ष में यही ख्वाहिश है कि 'शीरोज' जैसे आयोजन होते रहने चाहिए। दिसम्बर में कोहरे की चादर इसलिए भी आ जाती है जिसमें यादों की गर्माहट मन को ऊर्जावान बनाए रखे। मदरहुड क्लब के सभी सदस्यों को नव वर्ष की नव आशा, नव ऊर्जा, नव उन्नति से भरपूर हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं। - अपर्णा शर्मा

HEALTH CONTRIBUTION Health Benefits of Curry Leaves Diabetes Management: 5-10 gram of dried powder of curry leaves should be consumed twice daily for a significant drop in blood sugar levels. Hence, this can be administered safely as an adjuvant along with any of the anti diabetic drug.

Premature Greying of Hair: 20 gram of fresh curry leaves paste slow cooked in 100 ml of sesame oil or coconut oil. Regular application of this oil to the scalp, helps controlling premature greying, promotes hair growth and useful in dandruff management as well.

BOOK REVIEW Book Name: Living A Life That Matters' by Harold S. Kushner

The book is a spiritual advice from a worldly known spiritual leader, rabbi* author and lecturer Harold Samuel Kushner (April 1935 - April 2023) that offers a set of guidelines for living a useful and fulfilled life, no matter what the future holds.

A word about the author will lend credence to his masterpiece creation, that was first published on 4th September in 2001. Harold was born to Jewish parents Julius and Sarah in Brooklyn, New York City. His mother was a home maker and father owned 'Playmore Publishing' shop at Fifth Avenue New York that specialised in selling children's books and toys, primarily Bible stories. His father hoped that his son would take over the business someday, but Harold did not believe he possessed the same level of business acumen as his father. But what unfolded in the years to come was his acumen in making humanity understand the purpose of living. His thoughts and understanding gives a new meaning to traditional and conservative ideologies.

The author addresses men's craving for significance, the need to know that our lives and choices mean something. We confuse power, wealth and fame as achievement and do terrible things to compromise our integrity to be successful and important. Kushner describes that the path to a truly successful and significant life lies in friendship, family, acts of generosity and self sacrifice as well as God's forgiving nature. He emphasises how in changing the life of even one person in a positive way, we make a difference in the world, give our own lives a meaning and prove that we do in fact matter.

There are eight chapters in the book spread over 170 pages and each topic in itself portrays authors in-depth study and understanding of life with anecdotes and lucid presentation. A glance on the topic says it all - 'The Two Voices of God' ; How to Win by Losing ; 'What kind of person Do you Want to be?' ; 'Wild Justice : 'The Seductive Pleasure of Greeting Even' ; 'The Quest for Integrity' ; 'Family and Friends : We Are Who We Love' ; ' Best Actor in a Supporting Role' ; and the last being 'Why We Matter to the World'.

The book is premised on the theme that human beings need to know that they are important and the world takes them seriously, no matter if that world comprises one single person. One's conduct influences the other and that's how transformation germinates and spreads. We leave a mark on the world not by defeating others but by reaching out to them, to embrace all with love. .

BOOK REVIEW Book Name: Living A Life That Matters' by Harold S. Kushner

In the epilogue the author mentions a scenario, when a week just after the first publication of the book i.e. on 11th September 2001, terrorists commandered airplanes crashed into the World Trade Centre in New York and Pentagon in Washington causing the death of thousands of people. What the people did when they realized they might have only minutes to live. Nobody called his office, broker or banker, firebrigade or security.

Everybody called his or her family. Their last words were - "If I don't make it out of here alive, I just want to let you know I love you and I love the kids." The author emphasises What matters in life is our near and dear ones and the love. There are such heart touching anecdotes from various scriptures and real life.

The book makes the reader realise where they stand in life and how their actions determine the quality of living. The book is available on Amazon.

GO GREEN Right Way to Water Your Plants in Harsh Winters Plants also suffer in harsh winters. In fact they suffer more than humans as they don't have the wherewithal to beat the cold weather. A sudden dip in temperature can freeze the sap in the branches and roots sending it into shock. This is the reason why the leaves go black and brown, they start shedding. The buds and flowers also die a premature death. You must make sure that your plants are not being watered by ice cold water.

Watering your plants with room temperature water can save them from getting root shock, leaf drop and permanent root damage. It's generally a good idea to use room temperature water for your house plants, regardless of the season. Extreme temperatures, whether hot or cold, can shock the roots of the plants. Room temperature water is usually the best option, as it won't cause any sudden temperature changes for your plants Avoid watering the plants at night. The water given to the plants at night is not expelled by the stomata. Similarly, watering the plants when the sun is over the head should be avoided at all costs. It adversely affects the growth of a plant. In cold weather, water should be trickled slowly into the soil. Water only when air temperatures are above 10 degree celsius.Try watering at mid-day so there is enough time to soak in before possible freezing at night. Moreover warmer temperatures enhance metabolic processes within the plant, leading to increased transpiration and water uptake.

CORPORATE GYAN Importance of Handshake in the Corporate World When you shake hands with a person you are doing much more than saying “hello”.

Especially in the corporate world, the way you shake hands, speaks volumes about who you are as a person. For some, a handshake may be just a routine formality but to most it conveys a lot about a person's depth of character, trustworthiness and strength. When you meet someone, you usually greet them with a handshake to show the respect and regard.

A limp handshake will always send a negative impression, it shows that you are not confident enough.

Now how to go about doing a hand shake?Give the other person’s hand a firm shake with light pressure between your palm and thumb. A firm grip shows that you are interested in the other person and are giving them your full attention. After you begin the handshake, pump your hand up and down once or twice, and then release your grip. Your handshake should be just long enough to say hello and greet the other person, it should last approximately for five seconds. If the other person begins to pull away, take it as a signal to let go of their hand. Doing so ensures that you maintain the other person’s comfort, it also shows that you respect their personal boundaries.

Using an effective handshake can put others at ease by projecting confidence and respect.

Something as basic as a handshake can be the deciding factor between who decides to do business with you. A good handshake can also set the tone for the rest of your interactions and make the other person more receptive to your ideas and interest in forming a connection. Lastly, an effective handshake demonstrates your professional skills as a leader, coworker and business colleague.

Listing a few Handshake Etiquette here with you all: 1. Stand up while you shake hands and make an eye contact with the person. Look directly into the eyes.

2. Make sure your hands are not clammy or sweaty. This surely puts off people.

3. Don't grab the person's hand as soon as you meet. Take your time to extend your hand and then hold the person's hand.

4. Your grip should be firm but be careful not to crush their hand with extra pressure.

5. Greet the person with their name while shaking hands. This creates an instant connect.

6. Do not make a rigorous hand shake, just shake their hands in an up and down motion, that too for a few seconds.

PARENT CORNER Every mothers Challenge - Mobile Riddance Like any mom of today’s time, I too got succumbed to the pressure of giving the mobile phone to my child. What started off as a ten minutes rhyme time, became an anytime mobile time. This was bothering me to the core, as I never wanted to let my child, be dependent on this so called lifeline gadget. For six months or more I was held ransom by my child, no food without mobile, no hair combing without mobile.

My daughter was two years old then, but she figured out how to change rhymes and start you tube as soon as she found my phone unlocked. She would fuss and cry if we took the phone away. It looked as if we were in a war zone all the time to get the phone away from her.

In one of my visit to my brother’s place, my sister in law told me one statement, which their pediatric told them “YOU ARE THE PARENT, NOT THEM (the kids)”. You take a stand and ensure it happens, else they would make you do whatever they want. This got me thinking and I started using my mind, how to get her off this and also make her realise it’s not good for her.

Well, what came handy was a blog I read on my daughters play school app. The advantage of a Reado-stick. Read –o-sticks are pens used for talking books. I replaced the Phone with the talking stick which read books and played audio nursery rhymes. My daughter was fond of books and it caught her attention. She started enjoying it. Her keenness to read books was back, she started to eat food by herself and at the same time enjoyed the books.

The other change I made, was , to abstain myself from the mobile, especially in front of her. Kids at this age copy whatever you do. She would do see us using the phone almost all the time. Wasn’t I setting a wrong example in front of her? I started to read books alongside her, used my phone to the minimal and away from her.

The last thing I did was, made her realise that if either of us touches the phone so much, a mosquito sits on the phone, and it can bite us. I know you may think, why create a fear, but is this not better than shouting and screaming for something which we actually are responsible? Small changes and now we both are happy and enjoy meal times and all the moments spent together Happy Parenting Akta Sehgal

FIN - GURU - CONTRIBUTION Goal Setting Goal setting involves a dedicated line of thought , an objective and an action plan designed in order to motivate and guide a person or group toward a goal.

Goals are more deliberate than intentions or desires. Hence, setting goals means that one has committed themselves to achieve them. However the commitment lacks the enthusiasm , passion and intention to achieve it along with procrastination , that leads to only 8 % achievement of goals world over .

Too Much Money - when we experience abundance, we dont find the need or the urgency for our money to focus on a goal, as we know we have enough and more, the motivation to follow a discipline goes a miss. While one is aware and wants that money grows and you become more wealthy, but abundance leads to procrastination and that in turn leads to silent depletion of wealth.

Too Little Money - A catch 22 situation, I don’t have enough so I need to invest, but I cant invest as I dont have enough. In addition to this i am so many expenses to meet and so many other things to do, how do i manage all of this. Well the answer to this is make a beginning and start small , even a small drop will make a difference in the long run. The effect of compounding shall play it’s magic.

One parents embarked on a heartwarming journey to ensure their autistic son's birthday was not only special but also inclusive, despite not being familiar with his friends.

Lacking awareness of their son's friends, they proactively engaged in a collaborative effort with his class teacher. Seeking insights into his social interactions, the mother reached out to the mothers of his classmates, turning the challenge of unfamiliarity into an opportunity for connection. The class teacher's guidance proved invaluable in forming a guest list that would make the celebration meaningful for their son.

Taking inclusivity a step further, the parents extended invitations to their son's therapists, some children and their mothers from a therapy center. Recognizing the importance of shared experiences, she sought to create an environment where everyone, regardless of their unique needs, could come together in celebration.

What sets this birthday party apart is the thoughtful involvement of the parents' daughter in organizing the games. Understanding her brother's preferences and incorporating elements that catered to the sensory needs of all the children, she became an integral part of creating an atmosphere of joy and engagement.

As the day of the celebration arrived, the atmosphere was filled with warmth and acceptance.The children, guided by the inclusive games organized by the daughter, discovered common ground and celebrated in a way that respected acceptance.

The mothers of the classmates and from the therapy centre, having been part of the collaborative planning process, found themselves not only celebrating a birthday but also gaining a deeper appreciation for the importance of inclusivity. Bonds were formed, and a supportive community began to take shape.

In this tale of a birthday celebration, the parents' dedication to inclusion shines brightly.

Their efforts, coupled with the thoughtful involvement of their daughter, transformed a seemingly ordinary event into a beacon of understanding and acceptance. Attraction' and 'Good Vibes' In common parlance we talk of attraction as a force acting mutually between two forces, tending to come closer and resisting separation at the same time. Whereas vibration is a phenomena that works subtly leading to attraction without creating repulsion. Attraction and Vibration are intermingled because they are intimately connected. The Law of Vibration is the primary law as it is the vibration that primarily causes attraction.

In the December '23 Issue of Antarman I tried to explain that every object in the universe is co-existing because of the Law of Vibration. The quality and level of frequency, influences people to get attracted. When human beings feel positive and grateful and maintain that feeling they raise their vibration and attract more. Whereas the Law of Attraction brings to us what we are matched up with. If we feel anxious, excited, live in fear, doubt, frustration etc our vibrations gets affected and the attraction is momentary.

It depends upon us what vibration we want to inculcate to live with. By consciously choosing our thoughts we create good vibes. Most people don't choose thoughts, they choose situations and circumstances, what they think about. As a result they remain bound to those circumstances and do not go beyond. Positive thoughts attract more positive energy. Thinking positively not only raises our vibration but it attracts even more positive thoughts to us. Positive thoughts have the tendency to ward off even the negative thoughts, just let them pass by - don't feed negative thoughts. Hang around with people who make you feel good.

The bottom line is - the more you do what inspires you, the closer you will be to living the life of your dream. When you are inspired and loving what you are doing, you are vibrating high and the people steps in to align with you.

माफ़ी का हक़दार कौन? आजकल हम देखते हैं कि जरा सी कोई ग़लत बात हो जाए तब लोग बड़े आराम से "सॉरी" (Sorry) शब्द का प्रयोग कर देते हैं और अपने को हल्का महसूस करते हैं और समझते है कि उनसे जो गलती हुई, उसके लिए उन्होने "सॉरी" (Sorry) कह दिया और उनकी जिम्मेदारी पूरी हो गई। लेकिन वे इस बात की भी परवाह नहीं करते कि उनकी ग़लती के कारण किसी के मन को कितनी ठे स पहुंची है? "सॉरी" (Sorry) कहने या माफ़ी मांगने से आप अपनी ग़लतियों के भार से मुक्त नहीं हो जाते। आपको यह जानना भी आवश्यक है कि जिस को आपने "सॉरी" (Sorry) कहा है उसने आपको माफ़ किया भी है या नहीं?

लेकिन उन्हें मालूम नहीं कि "सॉरी" (Sorry) शब्द कहने के बाद उनकी जिम्मेदारी कितनी बड़ी बन जाती है। मेरा मानना है कि यदि आपने अपनी ग़लती को दिल से महसूस किया है और आपका यह दृढ़ निश्चय है कि यह ग़लती मुझे दोबारा नहीं करनी है, तभी आप माफ़ी मांगने के पात्र हैं अन्यथा यह सिर्फ़ शिष्टाचार की औपचारिकता मात्र ही बनकर रह जाएगी। यदि आपके बहुत प्रयत्न करने के पश्चात भी उस गलती को नहीं सुधार पा रहे हैं तो आपको आत्ममंथन करना चाहिए कि इसका क्या कारण है? लाख यत्न करने के पश्चात भी यदि किसी से कोई भी गलती दोबारा हो जाती है तो यह कोई आश्चर्य की बात नहीं है, क्योंकि इंसान ग़लतियों का पुतला है। सभी ने अंग्रेज़ी भाषा से "सारी" (Sorry) शब्द ले तो लिया लेकिन इस शब्द का प्रयोग कु छ लोग अपनी सुविधानुसार या अपनी छवि सुधारने के लिए करते हैं।

अब बात करते हैं कि माफ़ी का सच्चा हक़दार कौन है ? यदि कोई पहली बार ग़लती करके माफ़ी मांग रहा है तो उसे यक़ीनन माफ़ कर देना चाहिए किंतु एक चेतावनी दे कर। यदि कोई व्यक्ति बार बार एक ही ग़लती कर के आप से माफ़ी मांगता है और आप उसे माफ़ करते रहते हैं तो इसमें आप का ही दोष है। यदि कोई व्यक्ति सुधरना ही नहीं चाहता तो आप उसे तब तक माफ़ न करें जब तक उसे सच में यह आत्म ग्लानि महसूस न हो। किसी को माफ़ करने से पहले ये भी सोचें की उसकी ग़लती कितनी बड़ी है, क्षमा करने योग्य भी है या नहीं? यदि आपने बच्चों को उनके ग़लती करने पर पहली बार नहीं डांटा तो उनको अपने किए पर पछतावा नहीं होगा। आपकी ढिलाई उनको और बिगाड़ सकती है। इसलिए बच्चों को शुरू से ही माफ़ी मांगने की अहमियत समझानी होगी। दोस्तों, सोच समझ के मांगी हुई माफ़ी और सोच समझ के दी हुई माफ़ी हम इंसानों को स्वयं में सुधार करने के लिए ज़रूरी है।

वैज्ञानिक खोज में ऋषियों का योगदान ज्ञान विज्ञान की खोज वेदों से ही प्रारंभ हुई। भारतीय संस्कृ ति के उत्थान में बहुत से ऋषियों का योगदान रहा। 2500 वर्ष पूर्व ऋषि कणाद ने वेदों में लिखे सूत्रों के आधार पर परमाणु सिद्धांत का प्रतिपादन किया था। ऋषि भारद्वाज ने 600 ईसा पूर्व एक विस्तृत शास्त्र लिखा जिसे विमान शास्त्र के नाम से जाना जाता है। इस विमान शास्त्र में यात्री विमान के अलावा लड़ाकू विमान और स्पेस शटल यान का भी उल्लेख मिलता है। बोधायन भारत के प्राचीन गणितज्ञ थे। रेखा गणित, ज्यामिति के महत्वपूर्ण नियमों की खोज की। न्यूटन से 500 वर्ष पूर्व भास्कराचार्य ने गुरुत्वाकर्षण का नियम जानकर सिद्धांत शिरोमणि ग्रंथ में इसका उल्लेख किया। पतंजलि ऋषि एक महान चिकित्सक थे। पतंजलि ऋषि रसायन विद्या के विशिष्ट आचार्य थे। ऋषि चरक ने आयुर्वेद का महत्वपूर्ण ग्रंथ चरक संहिता लिखा। महर्षि सुश्रुत शल्य चिकित्सा के आविष्कारक माने जाते हैं। नागार्जुन ने रसायन शास्त्र और धातु विज्ञान पर बहुत शोध कार्य किया। 'रस रत्नाकर' और 'रसेंद्र मंगल' पुस्तकों की रचना की। महर्षि अगस्त्य ने 'अगस्त्य संहिता' में विद्युत का उपयोग बैटरी द्वारा तांबा सोना और या चांदी पर पॉलिश चढ़ाने की विधि निकाली। भारतवर्ष इन महान ऋषियों का सदैव ऋणी रहेगा जिन्होंने विज्ञान की खोज में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया। - सुरक्षा खुराना

जड़ो से जुड़ाव "सुनो जी! हाऊ आर यू जी", सुनीता ने पति से कहा, "भलिये लोके आई एम फाइन जी", बलवंत जी ने जवाब में कहा और दोनों ही खिलखिला कर हँस दिए। पिछले कु छ दिनों से पति, पत्नी दोनों अंग्रेजी बोलना सीख रहे थे। एक लड़की आती थी अंग्रेजी सिखाने, दोनों को। वाक्य तो 1012 सिखा दिये उसने पर 'सुनो जी' और 'भलिये लोके ' की जगह डार्लिंग वगैरह सिखाना भूल गई थी और अब पंजाबी तड़के वाली अपनी अंग्रेजी सुन कर दोनों खुद ही पेट पकड़ कर हंस रहे थे। कु छ दिन पहले बलवंत जी के चचेरे भाई श्याम के घर जाना हुआ था। उनके बेटे ने नया घर बनवाया था, उसी के गृह प्रवेश की पूजा थी। नए घर के लिए उपहारों के साथ भतीजे के 5 साल के बेटे के लिए भी कु छ खिलोने खरीद लिये थे। नए घर में पहुंचे तो पूजा अभी शुरू नहीं हुई थी। श्याम जी और उनकी पत्नी नीलम दोनों ही खूब स्नेह से मिले।भतीजे और बहू ने आकर चरण स्पर्श किये। बाकी मेहमान भी आ रहे थे। भतीजे का बेटा इधर उधर उछल कू द कर रहा था। उसकी मां उसे हाथ पकड़ कर मेहमानों से मिलाने लाई। सुनीता ने प्यार से बुला कर उसको उपहार दिया। बलवंत जी ने बेटे को प्यार से कहा, "बेटे मैं भी तुम्हारा दादा हूं, अपना नाम बताओ हमें। स्कू ल जाते हो क्या?" बच्चा कु छ बोला नहीं, बस असमंजस और हैरानी से अपनी मां की तरफ देखने लगा । शायद उसे हिंदी भाषा समझ नहीं आई थी । फिर मां ने अंग्रेजी में बेटे को कु छ समझाया और बच्चा भी अंग्रेजी में ही कु छ गिटर पिटर कर के अपना उपहार ले कर चंपत हो गया। इधर बच्चे की फर्राटेदार बातों में से सुनीता और बलवंत के पल्ले एक बात न पड़ी। पर वे कु छ नहीं बोले और अपनी अज्ञानता को चुप रह कर छु पा गये। घर आ कर सुनीता ने पति से कहा, "सुनो जी! आजकल सब मां बाप अपने बच्चों को इंग्लिश में ही बात करना सिखाते हैं। ये तो फिर भी भारत में रहते हैं, हिंदी देर से ही सही पर सीख जायेंगे पर अपना पोता तो वहीं अमरीका की पैदाइश है। वो तो हिंदी का एक भी आखर न जानता होगा। यहां आएगा तो उसकी गिटर पिटर हमारे पल्ले न पड़ेगी और हमारी बात वो नहीं समझेगा।" "हाँ भलिये लोके , मैं वी सोच रया सी। सानूं वी अंग्रेजी सीखनी चाहिदी है।" बलवंत जी जब किसी सोच में होते तो खालिस पंजाबी में बात करने लगते। शायद अपनी पहली भाषा ही अपनी रूह की भाषा होती है। तो जी ऐसे शुरू हुआ उनका अंग्रेजी सीखने का सफर। उनके बेटे बहु के आने में 6 महीने बाकी थे। 6 महीनों में बोलने समझने लायक अंग्रेजी सीख ली थी दोनों ने। बेटा कमल जब यहां से गया था तो रिशू कु ल एक साल का था। अब 3 साल बाद आना हो रहा था उनका। आज सुबह से घर उत्साह के रंग में रंगा था। आज बच्चे जो आने वाले थे। सुनीता ने बेटे बहू की पसन्द की ढेर सारी चीज़ें बना रखी थी। रिशू के लिए आइस क्रीम बनाई थी। टैक्सी की आवाज़ आते ही पति पत्नी दौड़ कर दरवाजे पर गये। सुनीता ने बच्चों की आरती उतार उन्हें घर में प्रवेश करवाया। बेटे बहू ने बारी बारी से उन दोनों के पैर छु ए तो माँ बाप ने अपने बच्चों को सीने से लगा लिया। बहू नीता ने रिशू को दादा दादी की तरफ प्यार से धके ला। सुनीता जी ने हाथ बढ़ा कर प्यार भरे स्वर में बोला, "हेल्लो बेटा, हाऊ आर यू, आई एम योर दादी।" बलवंत जी भी बोले, "माई बेबी, कम टू मी। आई एम योर..." अभी वाक्य खत्म भी नहीं हुआ था कि नन्हा रिशू उनके पैर छू ते हुये बोला, "दादी जी, पैरी पौना (चरण स्पर्श) दादा जी पैरी पौना"।

जड़ो से जुड़ाव- contd दादा दादी के चेहरों पर आश्चर्य भरी खुशी छा गई। बेटा बहू मंद मंद मुस्कु रा रहे थे। अचानक चारों जनें एक दूसरे को देख कर जोर से हंस पड़े । बड़ा मज़ेदार दृश्य था।अमरीकन पोता हिंदी बोल रहा था, भारतीय दादा, दादी अंग्रेजी। दिल से दिल मिल रहे थे। फिर कमल बोला, "अरे इतना हैरान क्यों हो रहे हो आप दोनों। हम देश छोड़ विदेश जरूर गये थे पर हमारा भारत, हमारी भाषा और संस्कृ ति तो हमारे दिलों में है। रिशु को भी हमने अपनी जड़ों से जोड़े रखा है।" सुनीता ने बेटे बहू को गले से लगा लिया, "बच्चो मुझे गर्व है तुम पर, बाहर जा कर अपने संस्कारो और संस्कृ ति को तुम भूले नहीं। अब हमें टूटी फू टी अंग्रेजी से काम नहीं लेना पड़ेगा।" उमंग सरीन

मां का हृदय "वाह! क्या लगती हो? इस उम्र में भी बिलकु ल पटाखा हो पटाखा!” गली में तेज-तेज कदमों से अपने घर की ओर जाती हुई प्रीति को देख कर पीछे से आते एक बाइक सवार ने फब्ती कसी। प्रीति चालीस साल की एक गृहिणी थी। वह जल्द से जल्द घर पहुंचना चाहती थी। बाहर बारिश हो रही थी अत: मुख्य सड़क पर पानी भरा होने के कारण वह गली वाले रास्ते से अपने घर जा रही थी। “हैलो मैडम! बात तो सुनो।" प्रीति उस मनचले लड़के को अनसुना कर चुपचाप चल रही थी, पर उस 18-19 साल के लड़के की उद्दंडता बढ़ती ही जा रही थी। उसने मौका देख प्रीति की पीठ पर जोर से एक हाथ मारा। प्रीति अब चुप न रह सकी, "शर्म नहीं आती तुम्हें? मैं तुम्हारी मां की उम्र की हूं।" मैडम! हम तो आपको एक नवयौवना की तरह देख रहे हैं। आपको तो खुश होना चाहिए कि इस उम्र में भी कोई आपको इन नजरों से देख रहा है”, लड़के ने बेशर्मी का एक जुमला फें का। प्रीति ने अपनी चाल और तेज कर दी। गली में आगे अंधेरा था। एक गड्ढे में पानी भरा था। लड़के को पानी से भरा गड्ढा नहीं दिखा, बैलेंस बिगड़ने से वह बाइक समेत गड्ढे में जा गिरा। प्रीति ने मुड़ कर देखा। उसके मन में एक क्षण को आया कि बहुत अच्छा हुआ। इस जैसे छिछोरे के साथ यही होना चाहिए था, पर पता नहीं क्यों, वह कु छ आगे बढ़ कर रुक गयी। दूसरे ही क्षण वह पीछे लौट कर लड़के के पास आ गई। “लो हाथ पकड़ो", प्रीति ने लड़के को आवाज लगायी। प्रीति ने हाथ पकड़ कर लड़के को गड्ढे से बाहर खींचा।लड़के के सिर व बाहों पर गहरी चोट लगी थी। “चलो डॉक्टर के पास ले चलती हूं।” लड़का बड़ी ही हैरानी और शर्मिंदगी से प्रीति को देख रहा था। मैं आपसे बदतमीजी कर रहा था, फिर भी आप मेरी मदद कर रही हैं ? मुझे डॉक्टर के पास ले जाने को कह रही हैं?” कु छ देर पहले की बदतमीजी अब शर्म बन कर लड़के की आंखों से छलक रही थी। वह अपने किए पर शर्मिंदा था। “तुम्हारी नजरों में मैं बस एक हाड़-मांस की औरत हूं, इसलिए तुमने मेरा के वल शरीर देखा, दिल नहीं देख सके , पर मेरी नजरों में तुम मेरे बेटे जैसे ही हो। एक मां बेटे की चोट को देख कर कै से मुंह फे र सकती है?” एक मां का फर्ज निभाना मुझे अच्छे से आता है। चलो, ज्यादा बाते ना बनाओ, चलो मेरे साथ अस्पताल। लड़का शर्म से पानी-पानी हो चुका था। उसके अंदर का शैतान पुरुष विलुप्त हो गया था और बेटा बन मां के साथ चल पड़ा । - मुके श भटनागर

जीवन शाश्वत है शाश्वत यानि कि सनातन – न कोई आदि, न कोई अंत, समय कि सीमाओं से परे। जीवन यानि प्राण। जीव और जीवन दो बिलकु ल अलग शब्द है। जीव वह है जो जीवन का वाहक है। जीव का विनाश होता है, जीवन का नहीं। जीव को जीवन मिलता है आत्मा से वरना जीव तो निर्जीव है यानि जिस जीव में जीवन नहीं। इसका मतलब जब आत्मा जीव की देह को त्याग देती है तो जीव निर्जीव हो जाता है। यानि आत्मा ही जीवन है और जीव आत्मा का घर। जब आत्मा देह से निकल जाती है तो जीव मरता है आत्मा या जीवन नहीं। आत्मा अजर है, अमर है और देह या चोला बदलती रहती है। यही आज के विषय का आशय है। धरा के हर कण में चाहे वह मानव हो, पशु पक्षी हों, कीट पतंगे हों सब में आत्मा या जीवन का वास है। इसीलिए कहता हूं कि जीवन शाश्वत है। जीवन तो एक शक्ति है और विज्ञान के तर्क में भी 'शक्ति' का विनाश नहीं होता यह तो स्वरूप बदलती है। मैं तो यहां तक मानता हूं कि नदी के कल-कल जल, पहाड़ों की वादियां सभी प्रकृ ति के अंश है और चूंकि जीवन से इतर हम प्रकृ ति की कल्पना नहीं कर सकते अतः प्रकृ ति का कण कण एक प्रकार से जीवन का द्योतक है। प्रकृ ति का भी विनाश नहीं होता, स्वरूप बदलता है। पहाड़ मैदान बन जाते है, भूखंड जलाशय बन जाते हैं, रेगिस्तान में फू ल उगने लगते हैं, उपजाऊ जमीन बंजर हो जाती है। यह जीवन की आवा जाही या स्वरूप, परिवर्तन नहीं तो और क्या है? जो सर्वत्र कण कण में, हर कण में, हर क्षण में, हर रूप में विद्यमान हो उसे ही “शाश्वत” कह सकते हैं। अब सवाल यह बनता है कि शाश्वत की यह अवधारणा कै से जीवन के सन्दर्भ में सटीक बैठती है। ब्रह्माण्ड के हर कण में जीवन विद्यमान है। जीवन सिर्फ इंसानों की बपौती नहीं बल्कि पेड़, पौधे, नदी, नाले, पशु पक्षी, कीड़े मकोड़े सभी में कमोवेश जीवन विद्यमान हैं। इसी मायने में जीवन को शाश्वत की अवधारणा में हम सटीक पाते हैं। यदि जीवन शाश्वत नहीं होता तो क्या हम कहते कि वह मर कर भी अमर हो गया। यानि उसकी देह का अवसान हुआ, जीवन का नहीं। जीवन रूपी आत्मा ने तो उस देह से निकल कर किसी और देह में स्थान बना लिया होगा और वह देह जीवित हो गई होगी यानि जीवन ने अपना स्थानांतरण कर लिया। मृत्यु जीवन का अंत नहीं बल्कि यूं कहें तो यह देह के भौतिक कार्यों की समाप्ति है। एक बात और भी गौर करने लायक है, कहते हैं न कि जन्म और मृत्यु का चक्र सतत अनवरत निरंतर चलता है, तब फिर जीवन तो शाश्वत की अवधारणा पर ऐसे भी सटीक बैठता है। ऐसा मानना कि गर्भ से जन्म लेने से जीवन शुरू होता है और मृत्यु पर खत्म यह एक भ्रम है। कोई दस साल में मरता है कोई सौ साल रहता है तो क्या जीवन की आयु अलग अलग होती है? दरअसल जीवन को आयु के दायरे में बांधना ही एक भ्रामक स्थिति है। मृत्यु जीवन का एक पड़ाव मात्र है अंत नहीं। जिस तरह रात के बाद भोर होना और दिन के बाद रात होना एक सतत प्रक्रिया है वही बात जीवन मृत्यु की है। यह तो संसार की एक अद्भुत प्रक्रिया है और ब्रह्माण्ड की सृष्टि से पहले से ही विद्यमान है। - सीए रतन कु मार अगरवाला, गुवाहाटी, असम

अवसाद इंसान के जीवन में कब असुरक्षा की भावना घर करने लगती है, पता नहीं चलता। लोगों को जानने का दावा करने वाले हम कै से ये जान नहीं पाते कि वो किस दौर से गुज़र रहा है और उसके साथ क्या होने वाला है? कोई कितना अके ला है उसके अंदर कितना दर्द छिपा है? अपने दर्द को छिपाना एक कला बन गई है या फिर हम देख नहीं पाते या देख कर भी नकार देते हैं। अके लापन, आशाहीन जीवन आपको अंदर ही अंदर खोखला करता जाता है। स्पर्धा की इस दौड़ में अंधे हो कर हम कब अपने आपको सोचना और महसूस करना छोड़ देते हैं, पता नहीं चलता, ये सफर हमें बहुत थका देता है और हमारी इच्छा शक्ति को क्षीण कर देता है। जीने की चाह कब प्रबल से निर्बल हो जाती है, हम जान ही नहीं पाते और उन क्षणिक कमज़ोर पलों में, अपने ऊपर से अपना भरोसा खो बैठते हैं। परिवार, ईश्वर और खुद पर भरोसा ही हमें इन कठिनाइयों से उबार सकता है। "भरोसा" एक छोटा सा शब्द पर कितना असरकारक, हमें समझना चाहिए और भरोसे पर भरोसा करना सीखना चाहिए। - वैशाली सिसोदिया
