Symbaloo is a visual organizing tool that has helped me to classify and put in order all the information that I have been looking to carry out with the Storytelling In ELT subject.

One of the most important advantages of using the Symbaloo as a PLE tool is that it has been owned and managed just for me which leads to a sense of and practical application of educational self direction. I just have added tiles about the most important websites that have been helping me through this course and I also thing that all this information is part of my Symbaloo because is a valuable resources. Every time you click on one of these tiles, it opens a new tab, so it makes navigating the internet very quick.

I have spent lot of time doing information research and I consider that all this work is reflected in my Symbaloo.

Symbaloo is an easy way to put together all the information that as a future teacher I would like to keep in case one day I needed. It gives me a quick access to all of my daily online need.

The teaching resources that I have chosen I really consider that are useful, interesting and related to becoming a Preschool English teacher.

Each tile represents a link to a different website and I have well –organized the information.

As I have said, it gives quick visual information, so bellow you will see how it looks my webmixt: My Symbaloo contains different information and it has been organize by corners.

At the top left corner I have added 5 different ebooks for children and bellow that there are three tiles related to the most popular or more recommended books to use with preschoolers.

In the middle of the left corner I have added some youtubes about real storytelling time. Each one is an example of how to explain a story.

On the left bottom corner, I have added 6 tiles that are related to blogs of other people or teachers and each one contains lots of information and different kind of activities that can be done in a preschool classroom.

In the middle of the webmixt, I have added two different kinds of information. On the top you can see all the projects and tasks that I have been doing for this subject. And on the bottom, the green tiles are a community sites that are interesting webs where you are free to ask questions, answer or inform about something.

On the top of the right side I have added various teacher resource sites and language learning sites like.

On the bottom right there are some youtubes that exemplifies Storytime in ESL classroom so is a really valuable resource to have a look and to get some ideas.

I have to say that I’m really keen in this kind of tools because it makes simplest your online live and helps to organize all the information. This last point is really important for me because at the beginning of the course sometimes I use to get lost with the information. For example, I have been looking to lot of information source that has been interesting and at the beginning of the course I didn’t save it or write the web page anywhere, so if later I would read again that information I couldn’t because I didn’t remember the link. So now, with the knowledge of this PLE tool, the Symbaloo, I can save these important and valuable websites.

In addition I thing that a Symbaloo is a must have for teachers, there are thousands of shared webmixes on hundreds of subjects and a quick search will help any teacher to find a webmix related on the lessons you want to teach.
