WEAPONS IN MODERN FENCING There are three weapons in fencing. The first one is the fleur, the second is the foil and the third is the sabre. The sabre is the most popular because of its beauty and the rules attached to its use. The foil and the fleur mostly involve the same rules of competition and they are rather boring, but the action comes with the sabre which has different rules and it is an art in itself.
Fencing is more of a mind game in which you have to fool your opponent.
