Vision and Thesis As the city of Philadelphia grows and evolves, there will be many technological advancements that will make the city smarter. By 2050, we predict the following advancements: self driving cars, infrastructure development, drone delivery systems, energy storage systems, easy access to healthcare, and a push towards a greener more walkable city. With these advancements we must not forget what is means to be human: to create, to collaborate, and to live with passion. The goal of this building is to address the social impact at a scale so large. By designing a building that promotes the performing arts, we are creating a culture that changes the community’s mindset. A community that is deeply connected with its arts typically displays a more progressive attitude toward future city-wide development.
