鬧鐘響起，朝早嘅晨光好似咖啡糖噉溶化到嘉儀嘅睡房。今日嘅 日光好似比平時光，外面應該係大晴天。
The alarm rang. The morning sun has melted into Ka Yee’s bedroom. The sunlight seems brighter than usual. It should be a sunny day outside.

對於要八點返學嘅嘉儀黎講，時間仍然鬆動。因為佢只需要十分 鐘就可以由屋企搭上一層就返到學校。佢漫不經意噉將塊白面 包放入多士爐，然後行入廁所刷牙。早餐準備好之後，佢望住眼 底一大片綠地反射住生命之柱滲透出黎嘅金光，佢突然覺得，自 己好似都識得光合作用噉，吸收住足足穿透咗逾50米地底樓層嘅 陽光。
The school would start at 8 a.m. It is still early as it only took 10 minutes for her to get to school by taking a lift. She put a soft white bread into the toaster and walked into the bathroom. When the breakfast was ready, Ka Yee stared at the golden light emitted from the life core reflected by a large piece of natural landscape. She felt like absorbing the energy from the light which has already punctured through 50 meters of the ground.

曾經有一個偉人講過，住得越近就越易遲到。嘉儀望住嶙峋嘅岩 壁拼湊住怡人嘅綠林，一個恍神就唔記得睇時間出門口。佢一衝 出門口就向住掁眼嘅生命之柱跑，隔離屋嘅陳師奶啱啱正準備上 上層買餸就幫佢㩒住部。
Someone said you would get late easily if you are living too close. Ka Yee was spacing out when she was staring at those rugged rock mixed with soft green plants. She rushed from the apartment towards the shining bright life core. She met Mrs. Chan at the lift lobby.
陳師奶: 早晨啊嘉儀，返學啊?
Mrs. Chan: Morning, Ka Yee.
嘉儀同陳師奶傾左兩句，同時間升降機以全速發射向洞頂。隨住 佢地嘅出發，玻璃造嘅升降機一邊透視住逐漸縮細嘅社區公園， 隨之映入眼簾嘅係漸大嘅社區設施；另一邊反射住嘉儀啱啱匆忙 趕路而吹亂晒嘅頭髮。嘉儀輕輕用手梳一梳，電梯就已經登陸到 上一層。
Ka Yee was chatting with Mrs. Chan when the high-speed elevator was shooting towards the top of the cavern. The natural landscape at the bottom of the cavern is diminishing when the community facilities are enlarging, the transparent glasses partially reflecting the face of Ka Yee. She tidied her messy hair gently and the elevator has arrived the upper zone.
嘉儀: 我要行先啦，下次再傾啦陳師奶!
Ka Yee: See ya, Mrs. Chan. Talk to you later.
嘉儀一行出，即刻進入咗一個熱鬧嘅街道，全個市鎮嘅人都已 經開始一日嘅工作。嘉儀頓時好似參加咗越野障礙賽，左閃右避 咁穿過離地二百米嘅街道，越過一個個市鎮嘅居民，經過一個個 街市店舖、服裝店、士多、五金店...終於喺大道嘅盡頭壓線衝過 學校嘅大閘。
Ka Yee rushed into a very crowded street. All people had started their work. Ka Yee seems like playing an obstacle race, rushing through a 200-meter high street, passing through every single citizen, market stores, boutiques, hardware shop… Goal! She managed to get into school on time. 8:00

烈日當空，Kelvin着住成套西裝喺龍翔道路邊等緊巴士。雖然公 司喺中環返九點，但係佢呢個鐘數就要咬住個麵包落到巴士站等 車，因為龍翔道已經開始塞緊，跟住到紅隧又再塞多次，返到公 司其實都只係啱啱好。有巴士到啦，下層已經企滿曬人，Kelvin 抹一抹汗，上車又再跌入quit唔quit份工好嘅沉思當中。
The sun is melting. Kelvin was waiting for the bus at Lung Cheung Road with his suit. Though the office hour starts at 9 in Central, he needs to take the bus this early morning with a bun holding in his hand. The bus arrived, but the lower deck had already fully occupied. Kelvin swapped his dripping sweat with his hand and squeezed into the compartment. He was thinking of quitting his job or not.
