Richard Cryer, Jr., was born October 22, 1948,

in Lake Cormorant, MS, to the late Richard and Eliza Mae Cryer.

To this union, eight children were born.

One sister, Aurora Clark, preceded him in death.

At an early age, he confessed a hope in Christ at Glover’s Grove M. B. Church, under the leadership of his grandfather, the late Reverend Roosevelt McCray’s.

He moved to Chicago, IL, and resided there for 40plus years, living a good life until his health failed.

He took his final breath in the comfort of his home, surrounded by loved ones.

Richard Cryer, Jr. (Jack) leaves to cherish his memories beloved Lizzie Parker of Chicago, IL, six siblings; Melissa (Tommy) Townsend, Vera Burks, Charles (Dorothy) Cryer all of Horn Lake, MS, Leroy Cryer (Marilyn) of Lake Cormorant, MS, Annie Fleming of Hernando, MS, and L.C. Cryer (Juanita) of Memphis, TN, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
