...…Where do I begin Darryl because there really is no starting point on how to express how heartbroken I am... so I will simply start with how much you will be immensely missed.
Psalm 34:18
"The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed"
I once read a quote from a poet who said, “Grief is itself a medicine.” It cleanses our souls from anguish and helps us keep moving through the stages of healing our hearts need.
Our paths crossed 29 years ago and who would have thought that our story would have so many chapters of two imperfect people that would figure out the perfect balance of life that would work for our family.
Your love, dedication, strength, protection and providing nature towards me and our girls was undeniably the most stand up that anyone could ever encounter. It was no secret that we shared a unique love story one that had its ups and downs, however it was a journey through which God taught us the lesson of forgiveness and extending grace to each other.
You were never too far away so whenever you were needed you showed that our family was your lifeline. Hands down you were unmatched.
I've watched you be a rock and support system for your family and I know that you will continue to smile upon them in the days ahead. The absence of your presence will leave a huge void in their hearts, but I know that they too will have your memories embedded in their hearts to get them through the days ahead.
I appreciate and love you for all you did in your lifetime to take care of me, Chainna, Jyrah, Ana, and Naomi. While we may not have been partners in marriage, we remained life partners through friendship, commitment to raising and nurturing our children and granddaughters. This level of partnership and friendship is what I will forever cherish and respect for how you showed your dedication and love to our family.
As I continue this journey of life without my best friend, I'll find comfort in knowing that you'll always be my forever "RIBBON IN THE SKY"
MISS YOU FOR NOW, LOVE YOU FOREVER "Kris"

ve always shown me or told me to not be afraid, that you can accomplish anything by being consistent and patient with the process. With any setback that may come around, I shouldn’t let the setback and my emotions ruin my ll always be reminded of every piece of advice you gave me, and thankful for the time and memories we shared for 21 years.
Brother, I thought of you with love today, but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday, and days before that too. I think of you in silence, I often speak your name. All I have are memories and your picture in a frame. Your memory is my keepsake, with which I’ll never part. God has you in his keeping. I have you in my heart.
For-
ever.

Daddy! Know that I am crying and laughing. I can still feel our last hug from a few weeks ago. I love you so much and I appreciate you greatly for your sacrifice and your heart. Lord knows you were the best dad a girl could ever ask for. I cherished our bond deeply. Your guidance showed me the true correlation to how God sees me and I can’t be more thankful for the example you set for me to give Him my “yes”. You are so kind, loving, patient, giving, and I cannot forget, funny!! Thank you for loving my girls so well and never missing a beat of truly being an awesome “Greydaddy”. I love you bunches, Padre

Darryl, my one of a kind brother.
This is a tough one because you were always there when I needed you. Darryl you were so much fun and had joy all of the time. You always told jokes, helped everyone in the family, you were dependable, trustworthy, honorable, loving, caring, thoughtful and of course, smiling. I’m going to miss you so much Darryl, my baby brother. I love you so much, you will always be a part of me! I will never forget you. I am hurt, but I know it gets better.
Darryl rest in peace
With so much love, Your Sis, Ann
A limb has fallen from the family tree. Grief does not stop me from remembering the best times of laughter, the song and the good life while you were strong. Until the day comes when we are together again my brother.

One Love
Darryl, you were the pillar of this family. You were a mediator and a great role model. You had a jovial sense of humor that was unparalleled. You were the forerunner of many neighborhoods and communities that embraced your contributive services. You were the pivotal piece this family could rely on. I'm going to miss you. The role you devoted to your family will sadly be pending a hollow footmark. The family is very saddened by your departure. Your advice, intelligence, creative craftsmanship, technical know-how, and troubleshooting perspectives have always been appreciated and valued. You were an expert with a wide range of abilities! We will never be able to replace the emotional support and utility services you have provided to the women in our family. You have set the standard for the men in this family to foreshadow you. Darryl, I hope that you wholeheartedly knew your due diligence of being a devoted father, champion brother, concerned uncle, superb friend, and anchor to the community didn't go unnoticed! You will be deeply missed!
From Martha

From Bonnie
To my baby brother, Who will be there when I have garden questions… Who will be there when I have cable questions…. Who will I vent to…..Will I receive a call about picking up Jyrah…. My heart aches with immeasurable pain but I know God needed you. So rest in heaven, for I know Jehovah will be my provider. Keep watch on me, both day and night. Love you Darryl Cheatham, Your big sister, Bonnie
Greeeyyyy! Oh how your name will continue to be spoken of around the house and your memory lives on through us. We will do just that by making sure mommy remembers to pick us up candy from the store. Grab Tee Tee, and ask her, “where ” We will be polite and show gratitude by saying, “awwwe you so sweet”. Order a lemonade from Chick-Fil -A and chocolate for dessert. And we will be certain to get into all types of things when we are at Grandma K house.
Love your, Greybabies
