What is meant to be will always find a way.

hello!

Thank you for being here!

We’re so grateful you’re taking the time to get to know us through these pages. In this book, we’ve shared who we are, what we value, the people who shape our lives, and the deep joy we feel as we hope to become parents.

While we can’t fully imagine what you’re going through, we want you to know how much we admire the strength and love it takes to consider adoption. We hope that as you read our story, you’ll feel a sense of who we are and the life we hope to offer a child—one filled with love, laughter, stability, and constant support.

Thank you for allowing us to share our hearts with you.

our story

In 2012, we met the old-fashioned way— at a bar through mutual friends.

Jarrod’s best friend Patrick introduced us, and we ended up talking all night. Margo was drawn to Jarrod’s kind heart, his love of cooking, and how much he adored his mom. Jarrod couldn’t get enough of Margo’s dimpled smile and knew he had to ask her out. A turning point in our relationship was a wedding trip to Boise, Idaho—our first vacation together. We discovered a shared love of hiking, road trips, and being outdoors, which inspired our 2015 move to Denver.

Our relationship blossomed there— we bought a house, adopted another dog, and eventually got engaged on top of a mountain in Golden, CO. We were married in a rose garden in 2019 and later moved back to Georgia in 2020 to be close to family and begin our journey to parenthood.

Becoming

parents has always been part of our dream.

why adoption?

From early on, we talked about the kind of life we hoped to build and the love we wanted to share with a child. We’ve always known in our hearts that parenthood was meant for us.

After several years of trying to grow our family, including unsuccessful rounds of IVF, we took a step back and reflected on what truly mattered. That time reaffirmed what we already felt—we're meant to be parents. With open hearts, we began exploring adoption, had meaningful conversations with adoptive families, and eventually found our way to a wonderful adoption agency —and to this incredible opportunity to connect with you.

meet Margo

Margo is a natural caregiver.

She started babysitting as a teen and became a nanny during college, which helped shape her dream of becoming a mom. She has an incredible way with kids—gentle, patient, and warm. Whether it’s a quick hug, a thoughtful gesture, or just showing up, she knows how to make people feel seen and loved. Even our dogs know her hugs are the best!

She’s a connector who keeps our friend group close through Sunday walks, girls' weekends, and thoughtful check-ins. Margo values harmony but stands firm for what she believes in. She’s so excited to become a mom and watch our kids grow, thrive, and become their own people.

Jarrod is warm, upbeat, and endlessly curious.

He connects with people easily, whether we’re at a party or chatting with neighbors. His summers mentoring kids as a camp counselor allowed him to interact with campers of all ages on a personal level.

Jarrod also has a competitive streak and loves challenging himself, whether he's cooking, playing tennis, or growing in his sales career. He’s most excited to share his love of sports with a child, teaching life lessons like teamwork, perseverance, and confidence in a way that’s fun and meaningful.

our home

In 2020, we bought our dream home—a 1960s brick ranch in the family-friendly neighborhood where Margo grew up.

After a full renovation, we moved in and began creating a space filled with love, warmth, and room to grow. With four bedrooms and 2.5 baths, we’ve got plenty of space for family, work, and play.

Our kitchen is the heart of our home, with a big island and bar stools where everyone gathers. Margo’s plants fill the windows, adding color and life to every room. Outside, our dogs love running in the yard while we tend to our garden or grill on the porch. It’s a cozy, happy place that we can’t wait to share with a child.

Margo grew up in this neighborhood and always dreamed of raising her family here. Her childhood was filled with pool days and bike rides with friends—and now many of those friends live nearby with families of their own.

our dogs

Meet Ronald + Texas!

We’re big dog lovers!

Ronald, our 8-year-old Australian Kelpie mix, is calm, sweet, and always up for a walk or a nap in the sun. He’s fiercely loyal and would be a gentle, loving companion to a child.

We’re also fostering Texas, a 3-year-old mix with a heart of gold. He’s goofy, affectionate, and amazing with kids—especially when they drop snacks! Whether or not he becomes a permanent part of our pack, he’s brought so much joy to our home.

Love makes a family.

our family

We come from big, loving families who are thrilled to welcome a new baby.

Jarrod’s family lives in St. Augustine, Florida— just minutes from the beach. His parents are retired, and his sister, Emily, lives nearby with her husband and six kids. Emily is a teacher and the ultimate local guide, always showing us fun spots to explore. It’s a dream to have family in such a beautiful place, and we visit often for sunshine, beach time, and cousin fun.

Margo has a large extended family! She’s the youngest of five, and her siblings all live near Atlanta with our nieces and nephews. Margo’s mom lives across the street and loves volunteering and treasure-hunting at estate sales. Her dad and stepmom live on a creek in North Georgia, where we go hiking and let the dogs run free. Holidays are full of food, laughter, and fun traditions—like our family cook-offs and white elephant gift swaps.

our friends

Our friendships go way back—from elementary school to college, and beyond. We’ve grown together through all stages of life and continue to make time for one another through book clubs, football games, weekend walks, and local festivals.

Some of our favorite traditions include our Masters party each spring, where Jarrod cooks for a yard full of friends, and “Friendsgivemas,” a holiday potluck with fried turkey and gift swaps. Our friends are like extended family, and we can’t wait to see them embrace a child with love and joy.

adventure

We love to travel—

especially to national parks, where we hike, explore, and unwind. Mountains are our favorite, and we always feel peaceful and inspired when we’re surrounded by nature. We also enjoy visiting family in North Georgia and North Florida for quick getaways. These trips are filled with love, fresh air, and time to relax.

While we know travel will look different with a child, we’re excited to introduce them to new places, cultures, and experiences as they grow.

From us to you and your baby:

We promise to raise your child with unconditional love, patience, and devotion.

We promise to nurture them into a kind, compassionate, and confident person.

We promise to celebrate their unique gifts and support them in becoming their truest self.

We promise to fill their life with joy, laughter, and endless hugs.

We promise to always honor their story and the incredible love you have for them.

We promise to keep you involved in the ways you feel most comfortable.

We promise to give them every opportunity we can—educationally, emotionally, and socially.

We promise to be a steady, loving presence every day of their life.

If you choose us, we will be forever grateful and will raise your child with unwavering love, care, and devotion.
