We are Brendan and Guerson!
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us! While it is difficult to tell you everything about us in just a few pages, we’re so excited to share a little about our lives and our dream of growing our family through adoption.
To us, family is all about love, commitment, and creating a home where a child feels safe, valued, and deeply cherished. Our hearts are open, and we can’t wait for the possibility of welcoming a little one into our lives.

our story
Eight years ago, we had our first date on a rooftop in midtown.
From that moment, our journey together has been one of love and growth. Guerson’s kindness and authenticity stood out to Brendan, while Guerson saw in Brendan a man with a big heart who always finds the good in others.
Forever after...
We are each other’s best friend and biggest cheerleader, and we believe in lifting each other—and others—up. Now, we’re ready to share that love and support with a child, building a family rooted in kindness, joy, and unconditional love.
Over the years, we’ve built a wonderful life together. Brendan’s family embraced Guerson, and together, we’ve created a warm and welcoming home. Guerson found his calling as an elementary school teacher, dedicated to making a difference in children's lives, while Brendan thrives as senior counsel at a technology company.

We have always wanted to start a family.
We’ve built a life filled with happiness and love, and we are beyond excited to share that with a child. From creating family traditions to celebrating life’s big and small moments, we are ready to pour our hearts into parenthood. Our journey together has shown us the power of resilience, and we know that strength, patience, and unconditional love will make us the parents we’ve always dreamed of becoming.
As a same-sex couple, we know that family takes many forms. Adoption gives us the chance to grow our family in a way we couldn't on our own, and we will never take that for granted.

One of the things I admire most about Brendan is his ability to see the best in people.
No matter the situation, he approaches others with empathy, always trying to understand their perspective. Even in difficult moments, he responds with patience and kindness. This comes from the love and acceptance he’s always known from his parents, who embraced him for exactly who he is. His family has been our greatest support system, and I know they will be the same for a child.
Brendan’s kindness, compassion, and ability to put others first will make him a wonderful father. Family, both birth and chosen, means everything to him, and I love seeing how much his younger brother and friends look up to him. When I share stories about my students, his immediate concern shows how deeply he cares. Brendan's love and dedication make him an incredible partner, and I know he will be an extraordinary parent.

Guerson
is the kind of person who always puts others first.
Guerson is the kind of person who always puts others first. He is warm, caring, and deeply loyal to his family and friends. His family immigrated to the U.S, working hard to build a better life. Guerson put himself through college while working multiple jobs, never letting obstacles stand in his way. His determination and strength inspire me every day, and I know he will be an incredible role model for our child. As a Spanish teacher, he has a special way of connecting with kids and making them feel valued.
One of the things I love most about Guerson is his curiosity and love of learning. We both enjoy reading and having deep conversations about everything from history to life’s big questions. He is thoughtful, dedicated, and always encourages me to see things from different perspectives. With Guerson as my partner, I know we will create a loving home where a child feels safe, cared for, and excited to learn and grow.

where we live
Our home is nestled in a charming, historic neighborhood in the heart of Atlanta, where tree-lined streets lead to parks, cozy caf e s, and community schools - all just a short walk from our front door.
It’s the kind of place where neighbors stop to chat, kids ride their bikes, and weekend mornings are spent strolling to the farmers’ market or grabbing breakfast at our favorite local spot. One of the best parts about living here is being just a five-minute walk from Brendan’s parents—Grandma and Grandpa are always close by and can’t wait to be part of a little one’s life!
Our Home | Our home itself is warm and welcoming, with three bedrooms and plenty of space to grow. We can already picture bedtime stories in a cozy nursery, family dinners, and playdates with neighborhood friends. This is a home built on love, and we are so excited to one day fill it with the joy of a child.

Family is so important!
We’re incredibly lucky to have family close by. Brendan’s parents live just down the block, always ready for a quick visit or a last-minute family dinner. His brother and sister-in-law are only a few minutes away, and we have a large, close-knit extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins throughout the metro area.
Holidays and family gatherings are always lively and full of laughter—whether it’s a big Thanksgiving meal or a simple summer cookout in the backyard. Our family has been overwhelmingly supportive of our adoption journey, already dreaming about welcoming a little one into the fun. We know this child will be surrounded by love from an entire family ready to cheer them on through every milestone.

1 • We are the same height. We bonded over this coincidence on our first date.
2 • Guerson was the first in his family to graduate from college.
3 • Brendan has degrees from Notre Dame, Yale and UVA Law.
4 • Guerson is a Spanish dual language immersion teacher.
5 • Brendan started his career at the oldest continuously operating Wall Street law firm.
6 • Guerson is a native Spanish speaker. Brendan can speak French and can read Latin.
7 • We traveled to Italy for our honeymoon.
8 • Brendan hates ketchup, but likes tomatoes. Guerson hates tomatoes, but likes ketchup.
9 • We usually have anywhere between 20-30 houseplants throughout our home.
10 • Guerson has a guinea pig named Cookie as a classroom pet.
