Producers of crushed stone, sand, and gravel, Luckstone owns and operates more than 20 quarries across the states of Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina. Since 1923, the company has enjoyed continued success under the leadership of three Luck Family generations.
This project develops a prototype to update Luckstone’s “scale offices”; small buildings (~1,000 SF) that function to weigh the trucks as they come and go from the quarries. The goal of the renovations is to reflect a company that prioritizes its employees and is committed to creativity and innovation while remaining grounded by its history, traditions, and core values.
