SUMMARY It goes without saying that the rst half of this year has been like no other. While real estate remained an essential service throughout the shutdown, there was a near halt to buyer’s activity.

Once the dust settled and businesses began reopening, the real estate market began making up for lost time. Overall activity went up to “mid-season� levels and listings started going under contract at an above average pace.

One data point to note: the median price for single family homes is relatively low this quarter due to an increase in activity for homes priced below $2 million. A dwindling supply in this category has caused buyers to act quickly to purchase the remaining homes.
