This project is called Earth Care Mixed Used Residence from year 3 architecture student. It will consist of a mix of condominiums, offices, and a shopping mall etc. The site will be located in the Rama 3 area of Bangkok, close to the Kingsbridge Bridge and the Chao Phraya River

SITE ANALYSIS

Desciption

The design of this project is influenced by three key factors Firstly, neighboring buildings, especially the King Bridge Tower, may obstruct scenic views Secondly, limited accessibility to green spaces in the area hinders health and wellness activities Lastly, while the site offers a remarkable river and city view, capturing these vistas is restricted by limited angles These factors will guide the design process

DESIGN PROCESS

Forming shape

Divide the GFA area into two site: the residential side and the commercial side By placing the residence in front of the site, to have a distinctive building and a good view

Pulling shape for view

Pull out the façade in the area that has a good view which will gradually gradient from the height The higher it is, the better the view There are two directions: the river view and the city view

Programing

Creating voids

Create an voids space in the area that separates the two zones to make it more clear and make air flow inside the building which will be divided every four stories

Adding facade and plants

Add façade in the bad view zone It will have a large façade to block views and can add green space But the good view zone will have a small façade extrude to not obscure the view

02 KOSEN SCHOOL

The project is to design a school for high school and diploma engineering students

The course of study is divided into 3 courses; automation engineering, biology engineering and agriculture engineering The site of this project is located at Tha Kham, Bang Khun Thian District, Bangkok inside the KMUTT campus

Building surrounding

The sun will rise east and set in the west The sun will appear toward the south or north depending on the season

On the top and left parts are mostly green spaces and on the top also have a big pond In contrast, below and to the right are buildings in the part of the university that is a tall building adjacent to the site

The building is designed as separate buildings following the school curriculum to provide privacy and categorization, the key concept building is central to connecting all courses and providing a place where students from all courses can spend time and interact with others.

The design also focused on reducing student stress by using green spaces The building has a large opening facing green space and ponds In the buildings, there is a green space provided for students to walk out and relax

STRUCTURE AND SYSTEM

Overall structure

CCCAC MUSEUM

CCCAC is a Community, Cultural and Contemporary Art Center located in Bang Yi Khan Sub-district, Bang Phlat district, Bangkok, Thailand. The building is located next to the Rama VII bridge at the waterfront of Chao Phraya River and Klong Bang Yi Khan. This area was originally a public park where members of the local community come to do activities and spend their free time.

SITE ANALYSIS

Site section

The site are surrounded by many landmarks and places of importance in government, royal court, culture and history. The important places include Wat Chaturamit Praditharam, Wat Praya siri lyasa wan, the Bank of Thailand, the Bank of Thailand museum and the Devavesm Palace Museum

The concept of this project is to designed a museum that blending with the environment around the site since the site is surrounded by communities of small building

The concept was applied in this project using reflective material on the exterior surface of the building which gives it a modern and fashionable feel and reflecting the surround but instead of pointlessly projecting a city, we set buildings to to project the important places This building acts like a point that combines places in the city in one place
