Welcome Home Programme

Welcome Home to Malaysia! Our exchange participants who went on their Global Volunteer journey during semester break have successfully returned.

In the Welcome Home Programme, we are happy to have them share their stories and experiences throughout their insightful journey. Stay tune for more stories from the exchange participants and hopefully this would encourage more members to sign up as Global Volunteers.

Convocation Dinner ‘Every day is a reason to celebrate’ , The 25th of October was especially worth celebrating because our seniors were officially graduates of UM. On this day, current and past AIESEC members were invited to our annual convocation dinner to celebrate the graduating seniors’ success in completing another phase of life.

Once again, we would like to congratulate them on their welldeserved success !

SRLC– Fall 2017 Southern Regional Leadership Conference - Fall 2017

A special thanks to all members who participated in the recently held SRLC, not to mention the amazing facilitators and generous sponsors ( fave, ui Nanyang Heritage, Jantzen and mYoga) for making this meaningful event a successful one !

From 27th to 29th October, SRLC was held in the Engineering Faculty of University of Malaya. 4 Local Chapters from the Southern Region of Malaysia which are UM, UPM, UTM and UMP had the rare opportunity to gather and exchange their AIESEC experience .

New members of AIESEC were especially in for the treat as this would be their first major event since joining AIESEC. Just to refresh our memories, here is an overview of SRLC’s mission.

1. Let new members understand about why we do how we do what we do in AIESEC.

2. Equip new members with relevant skills set 3. Serve a platform for AIESEC members to connect with each other Hope the participants of the conference could put what they have learnt into practice and make effort to connect with new friends because life was meant for good friends and great adventures !

Members’ Stories Through the Member Experience Survey, we got a glimpse on how our new members view their budding AIESEC experience.

Q: Why did you join AIESEC ?

A: “I joined AIESEC because to me a great platform, as great as AIESEC, will help me to develop my soft skills such as leadership and cultural understanding, which is crucial nowadays. “ Muhammad Zahin Redzuan bin Zainal Fithri Department of Incoming Global Entrepreneur and Talent Term 17/18

Q: Has your original perception towards AIESEC changed after being an AIESEC member for the past 1 month?

A: “Yes. I never thought being an AIESECer was easy but after joining for about a month, being one is unimaginably hard because I have to manage my time intelligently and sometimes I do not have enough time to fulfil every goal I set.”

Q:Will you recommend your friends to join AIESEC? A:”Yes. I think as a youth, we have to be more aware to what's happen around the world and we should take our responsibility to make a change and I believe AIESEC can provide this opportunity to us.
