Job Descrip4on You can find the job descrip7on for the posi7on of President of AIESEC Interna7onal in a separate document with this package.

The Applica4on Process Please read this document in detail.

Ensure you have obtained the relevant endorsements.

Ensure you have compiled the relevant visa informa7on to submit (due to the fact that the process of legalizing AI members takes approx. 4 months it is COMPULSORY to submit all necessary visa informaMon together with your applicaMon! Also, you will necessarily need a passport valid for at least 2 years from the moment of submiQng the applicaMon).

Complete the appropriate applica7on form for the posi7on for President of AIESEC Interna7onal.

Submit your applica7on, the endorsements and other requested material (Blank paper challenge, etc.) by 17:00 GMT Sunday, 22nd of January 2017 to Niels Caszo at nielsc@ai.aiesec.org and at the following link: hMps://podio.com/webforms/17303291/1163134 Late applica7ons -­‐ even by a few minutes -­‐ WILL NOT be accepted, and no excep7ons will be given, including in the cases of email/computer dysfunc7on. Extensions will not be given. As such, we strongly recommend you do not wait unMl the last minute to submit your applicaMon, as you will be risking it not being accepted should unforeseen events occur.

The Elec4on process Each candidate must present their applica7on, applica7on should be maximum: 1 page for the ExecuMve Summary.

1 page for the Bio. 1 page for the CV. 6 pages for the QuesMonnaire.

1 page for the Blank Paper Challenge.

The minimum font size is 10.

You must submit 4 endorsement leMers from member commiMees with your applica7on and 1 endorsement from an external. In the case that the host member en7ty does not want to endorse the candidate from their en7ty will need to submit a report to AI sta7ng the reasons for the same which shall then be released to the global plenary. Your applica7on and endorsement leMers will be distributed in the next AI mailing a`er the deadline.

In case we receive more than 5 endorsements, you will be requested to choose 5 that you wish to be enclosed as official endorsements with your applica7on. This limit aims to avoid mass redundant endorsements.

The endorsement leMers must be on behalf of the AIESEC Member CommiMees.

The deadline for submicng your applica7on and all the needed materials (blank paper challenge, etc.) is 17:00 GMT Sunday, 22nd of January 2017.

You will receive confirma7on of receipt of your applica7on as soon as it has been received (only if recep7on of the applica7ons happens during AIESEC Interna7onal working hours).

If recep7on of applica7ons occurs out of working hours you will be no7fied of recep7on within a maximum of 24 hours.

Any member considering to apply or re-­‐apply for any role on the AIESEC Interna7onal team should not be involved in any part of the forma7on of the applica7on or selec7on process (including but not limited to the forma7on of general and role specific ques7ons). This is with the excep7on of the forma7on of job descrip7ons.

Special notes: Remember to include the number of the ques7on you are answering with your answers.

For countries who have received requests for endorsement leMers -­‐ gran7ng a leMer means you believe that the individual is a good candidate for the posi7on. It does not mean that you believe they would be the best for the posi7on. Please DO NOT grant leMers for individuals who you do not feel would be suitable.

The Elec4on procedures PRESIDENT To stand for the posi7on of PAI, you must par7cipate in the elec7on process at Interna7onal Presidents Mee7ng. The process is as follows: 1. Each candidate will par7cipate in the elec7on process outlined below at IPM. The final specifica7ons of the process must be finalized at least 10 days prior to the start of pre-­‐ mee7ng at IPM by AIESEC Interna7onal. None of the PAI candidates may par7cipate in the final discussions about the process details.

2. Each candidate will give a 10-­‐minute opening speech to the plenary.

3. Each candidate will par7cipate in one or several Ques7ons & Answers sessions. The Q&As must be designed so that every MCP has the opportunity to par7cipate in at least one Q&A session with each candidate.

4. Each candidate will par7cipate in one or several panels/discussions. The panels/ discussions must be designed so that every MCP has the opportunity to par7cipate in at least one panel/discussion with each candidate. At least one part of the panels/ discussions should be dedicated to issues external to AIESEC, which are relevant to AIESEC. 5. Each candidate will give a three-­‐minute closing speech to the plenary. Immediately a`er all speeches are completed, there will be a member mee7ng, ballot papers distributed and vo7ng conducted.

A>er the Elec4on procedures TRANSITION Transi7on commences immediately a`er your elec7on. Discussions and work will be done through the use of EXPA, e-­‐mail etc.

Online transi7on will start immediately a`er elec7ons.

Full 7me transi7on for the PAI 2017-­‐2018 starts on April 1st 2017.

AI will pay salaries from the date above.

Your own transi7on (at na7onal level, if you are on a Member CommiMee) has to be completely finished by the 7me you come to RoMerdam.

It is vital that all candidates are commiMed to being in RoMerdam no later than the above men7oned 7mes.

Have your translated birth cer3ficate ready, because you will be asked to show it when registering in the municipality once you come to the Netherlands.

Na,onals of all other countries • Copy of passport – ALL pages including the blank ones. The passport should be valid at least 2 years a9er the start of the new AI term.

• Copy of legalized, translated and cer3fied birth cer3ficate. By "legaliza7on" we mean that the authori7es in the country where the documents come from sign a statement saying that an official body issued the documents. This statement is usually provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or Ministry of Jus7ce in your country. Birth cer7ficate of na7onals from India, Nigeria, Ghana, Pakistan, and Dominican Republic must be verified and approved by the Dutch diploma7c representa7on (embassy or consulate) in your country of origin. Verifica7on might take a number of months! Please note that birth cer7ficate should not be mistaken for cer7ficate of • birth registry -­‐ these are two separate documents, what we need is the birth cer7ficate. (To find the contact informa7on of Dutch embassy or consulate in your country for birth cer7ficate legaliza7on, please can refer to following link: hMp://www.mfa.nl/en).

• Copy of your diploma (if graduated) with academic transcripts (this is the paper that you get from your university's registrar that outlines all the courses that you have taken in the university and the corresponding marks for each course. The document should be translated into English or Dutch if it’s wriMen in another language.) If you have not graduated yet you need to get latest academic transcripts from your university.

• An AIESEC experience confirma3on leKer addressed to UWV that includes your complete name and passport number in which it is stated your date of joining AIESEC and all your relevant roles held within the organiza7on signed by the MCP (elect is applicable in case you are current MCP).

• The name of the city and country where you will pick up your Dutch visa if you get elected (you should pick up your visa in your home country unless you have an official residence of currently residing country that valid for at least 5 months a`er the new AI term). • Your home address (with a zip code) in country where you will pick up your Dutch visa.

• o No7ce: The process of issuing the Dutch visa might take up to 6 months (!)

• You may not have a criminal record.

ALL Documents should be translated into English, Dutch, French or German. Transla3on should be notarized. All the above-­‐men3oned documents should be provided at the applicant’s own expense.

NOTE! Copies of ALL the above documents must be provided otherwise we CANNOT apply for work permit and working visa. Keep original documents with you, because the Embassy may request them again in your country. The above documents should be scanned in good quality (in resoluMon good enough to be able to print and read all numbers and le\ers) and a\ached together with your applicaMon for AIESEC InternaMonal.

If for any reason you were not able to obtain them on Mme, we at least need papers proving that you have iniMated the procedures for obtaining all the above documents, in order to consider your applica3ons complete. *Legal documents requirement might be changed during the process, we will immediately update this document and inform candidates throughout the process.
