Study is offered as an option. Pupils will go to the Rose Garden which is a fully equipped space with 10 laptops, colour printer, a full range of textbooks and specification guides, WiFi which connects to pupils Chromebooks and teachers that have a wide knowledge of GCSE subjects taught. These lessons will be supervised and supported by a member of teaching staff, but will not be a ‘taught’ lesson. It is beneficial to get advice and help from the teacher supervising the study period.

Study provides a chance to catch up and consolidate work from your GCSE courses. It allows you to work on the quality of your GCSE studies rather than the quantity you have chosen to study. You will have to plan and record the work being done in these sessions which will help you to develop good study habits. Subject teachers may also recommend work for you to complete based on your attainment in their subject areas.

If you receive learning support lessons, these will be timetabled during a study lesson where possible.
