DIS had its best year for international university admissions, with students receiving offers from 18 different countries! University & Careers Counselling is available every day at DIS with Mr. Dupont, and includes each and every aspect of a university application from course research through final selection. University and Careers support is not only limited to one to one meetings, but also includes workshops on specific topics, university presentations, skill-based sessions, university fairs, and group lessons.

DIS students also had a fantastic year when it comes to scholarship offerings, with the year group earning six million USD per year in awards to attend some of the world ’s most presitigious universities. DIS has earned admission to various Ivy League and Russell Group universities this year, across numerous courses of study.

DIS was especially proud to partner with Concourse Global Match this year in order to provide additional opportunities for university offers and scholarship, with nearly half of the total scholarship award coming from this platform. In turn, DIS has extended its university partnerships this year to include the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), Emirates Academy for Hospitality Management (EAHM), St. George’s University (SGU) and is now offering a dual enrollment programme for students to study university level courses while studying in the IB programme.

Students in IB Business Management and Economics attended a live financial trading workshop at HeriotWatt University in Dubai earlier this year, to learn about ethical trading and effective finance practices for corporations.
