Throughout the year we had countless parent events. At the beginning of the school year we had ‘ Meet the tutor events’. Later we had parent share events. Parents had the chance to see the students in their study environments. There had been many coffee mornings in which parents were able to know each other better. In some occasions, like the Winter and the Circus Shows, students performed and parents watched them with great enthusiasm. Parents were also part of many events like the National Day, Festive Market and the International Day. We had many charity initiatives throughout the year like the Donations for Turkey and Syria, Charity Iftar and the Construction Workers ’ Iftar Parents were always very generous and helpful.

During the pandemic parents ’ access to the school was limited. For the very same reason the Parent Council, Parent Association (DISPA) and the Emirati Parent Council were not active for the past few years. The SLT met with the Parent Council members every term. They listed to their voices and took measurements accordingly. DISPA helped with many events throughout the year. They distributed fruit boxes to FS students on the Sports Day to encourage healthy nutrition They gave away great prizes on the Community Iftar.
