At Deira International School we aim to keep our children and staff safe and healthy. We do this by ensuring a secure and caring environment with emphasis on quality care and safety where we foster a sense of physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing in compliance with the standards and the regulations of the Dubai Health Authority. The school clinic is well equipped and emphasised on accessibility for People of Determination. DIS employs two full -time nurses and a full-time Physician who oversees the clinic to ensure implementation of all mandated policies and protocols in collaboration with school ’s administrative authorities and school personnel. Health and Safety Committee acts in response to any health crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic was effectively handled by implementation of Health and safety protocols and procedures amayam

We ensure promotion of general health by encouraging healthy nutrition practices and physical activity.

We treat injuries and provide timely First-aid services.

Children with pre-existing medical conditions have individualized health care plans in place to handle emergencies. Annually general medicals, dental, vision and BM I screenings are conducted for early detection and treatment of abnormalities. Prevent promotion of communicable and non -communicable diseases. Immunization programs are conducted and all details are shared with DHA via H ASAN A system. Health education sessions are conducted to promote knowledge, attitude and skills for making healthy decisions, achieve health literacy and adopt healthenhancing behavior
