History
Well done to all of our History students this year. This has been both an exciting and rewarding year. Year 11 students produced some outstanding coursework on the impact of the Reichstag Fire and IB students immersed themselves in Historiography and created IAs they should all be very proud of.

Year 7 students began the year investigating the Roman Empire before moving onto the Islamic Golden Age, Medieval Mali and the Ottoman Empire. In year 8, students learned about the Tudors, the Age of Exploration, Empires and the French Revolution. Year 9 students began the year looking at Slavery before moving onto Conflict through time, dictatorships and finishing off their KS3 History education with Rights movements. Our Year 10 IGCSE and IB1 students have made a great start to the course and we are excited to see the progress they make over the next year.
Students commemorated Poppy Day in school and as global society we have witnessed several important historical events including the death of Elizabeth I and the coronation of Charles III.
Students in all year groups have impressed us with the quality of their work, however we were impressed with year 7 when they produced inventions from the Islamic Golden Age, showcasing the risk-taker learner attribute.
