IB2 has been an emotional, exciting, but most of all, important year for the students! There have been excellent results, amidst fantastic progress and attainment. Students have led a variety of initiatives around school, most impressively, designing a multi -million dirham IB Hub, comprised of social, collaborative and independent study spaces. They have radiated enthusiasm, community spirit and have been a joy in school. I have never met a more helpful, caring and close-knit year group, where everyone shows respect and gives time to all of their peers. The warmth they display is noticeable, and undoubtedly, the year group have made wonderful friendships which I am sure will stand the test of time. Head Girl, Roxanne Dubash and Head Boy, Daniel Nasri, alongside the ‘Student Leadership’ team, have impressed everyone. They have been esteemed role models and have most certainly left a legacy for the future leaders at DIS. I have watched the year group transform over the course of the IB programme; seeing them flourish and become mature young adults, who are indeed ready for their next stage at University and beyond. The rigorous nature of IB, mixed with the academics, philosophy, critical thinking and the writing of essay’s has them all well equipped and eager to begin the stage of their adult life. There have been some excellent offers, with Medicine, Law, Engineering, Psychology to name a few, from top Universities There are some future change makers here, I am sure. Year 13 it’s been a joy! I am so happy I got to meet every single one of you!! Good luck for the future (not that you need it)!

I will leave you with the perfect quote: ‘Every story has an end, but in life every ending is a new beginning ’
