Summary of the year. Mike Rice

Bonjour la classe !

We have had many new students join us this year, for many of whom French is a fourth language after their native tongues, English and Arabic!

In September we celebrated the European Day of Languages by showing off some of the many languages spoken at DIS, not just from Europe, but also from the Middle East, Africa and Asia. In Year 3 the children can introduce themselves and talk about the weather, whilst children in Year 6 have been giving their opinions on each other’s musical tastes. In Years 4 and 5, children can now say what snacks they bring to school and what objects they may find in their school bags.

I consider myself very privileged to have worked with so many bright and talented pupils during my time at DIS. I shall miss them all very much! Mr. Rice—Primary MFL Teacher
