Foundation stage 1
Each child has worked super hard this year, from Term 1 being Trying Troy to make new friends, exploring our new school and greeting our teachers, to Term 3 where we are Archie Achievers every day to complete the tricky tasks and challenges that our teachers set for us. The students have continually strived to be independent in their daily activities, such as writing their names, counting out amounts and conducting real -life Science experiments. We have learned about the world around us through themes such as ‘Flash! Bang! Sparkle!’, ‘ROAR!’ and ‘Splash!’, exploring new stories, vocabulary and schooltrips.

To expand our learning in FS1, we took part in many different theme days, events and celebrations throughout the year. We really enjoyed learning about and celebrating many different events throughout the year!
We had:
- Minibeast Dress Up Day, filled with butterflies and bees,

- Exciting school trips, such as Oli Oli, Mushriff Park and Agricultural World Gardens,

- We hosted a Tiger Tea Party in class where we all dressed up as tigers!

- An amazing Career’s Day with special guest super-hero parents teaching us all about their jobs,
- National Day celebrations, learning all about the UAE culture and heritage.
- International Day where we explored all the different countries that our DIS community is from.
