April 24
3:10 p.m.: An attempted housebreaking was reported in Frankenstein where the potential victim heard noises from his basement door. He then went to the basement to prevent the subject from attempting to enter. 7:54 p.m.: Vandalism was reported in VFHA to property of the U.S. Government. Damage was reported to 15 doors, three nameplates and one light switch where spray paint was used to mark said property.
April 25
Noon: Armed robbery was reported in Frankfurt am Main where the investigation revealed an unknown person held a knife to the victim and acquired their wallet which he handed to the suspect. Estimated cost of loss is unknown and there is no known suspect or witnesses at this time. 2:57 p.m.: Larceny of secured private and government property was reported in Hotel Villa Kastania, Berlin-Charlottenburg.
April 26
7:21 p.m.: A theft from an unsecured motor vehicle was reported in Kaiserslautern-Siegelbach.
April 27
9:34 a.m.: Discovery of a controlled substance “Marijuana” was reported at the LVIS Gate on Ramstein. While searching the subject’s vehicle, security forces patrolmen found a package containing what appeared to be approximately 3 grams of marijuana.
April 28
3:27 a.m.: A DUI was reported in Kaiserslautern. Polizei stopped the subject for a traffic control point and upon contact, detected a strong odor of an unknown alcoholic beverage emitting from the subject’s breath.
April 29
8:37 p.m.: Theft from a secured motor vehicle was reported in Kindsbach.
April 30
9:30 a.m.: Illegal trash dumping was reported on autobahn A6 direction Mannheim adjacent to Rest Stop Harzofen, Brüchmuehlbach-Miesau. Article 92 of the UCMJ was issued.
Ramstein Curfew
Per Ramstein Air Base Instruction 51-901, Civilian and Family Member Misconduct dated April 13, 2010, the curfew on the installation is from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. From 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., minors are not to be out of quarters unless accompanied by a parent, guardian, or other responsible adult who has been entrusted with their care.

Dogs on leash
The Ramstein-Miesenbach Office of Public Order keeps receiving complaints about dog owners who walk their dogs unleashed. The union community administration released a danger prevention ordinance which regulates the walking of dogs inside and outside of towns. Dog owners must keep their dogs on a leash while walking them on public streets in housing areas. In all other areas, dogs must be automatically put on a leash when other people approach. Violators may be punished with fines up to € 5,000.

Swimming facility open
The Gelterswoog pond opened for public swimming Tuesday. The facility hours are noon to 8 p.m. Mondays and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. all other days. The public heated pool on Entersweilerstrasse, Warmfreibad, will open the middle of May.
Participants needed
The Bruchkatze Carnival Association in Ramstein-Miesenbach is looking for people interested in joining a guggemusik group. Anybody having fun in groovy music, carnival and dressing up in costumes, no matter if they play an instrument or would like to do that, are welcome, especially youth. Rehearsals will take place 6 to 8 p.m. Saturdays in Narrenstube club, Marktstrasse 37, Ramstein-Miesenbach. The 86th SFS DARE team will present Stranger Danger scenarios relevant to teens, ages 13 to 18, both in their role as babysitters and for themselves (cyber predators, etc.) 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Ramstein Teen Center, Bldg. 411. The 569th U.S. Forces Police Squadron DARE team will be presenting Stranger Danger scenarios and discussion with children, ages 5 to 12, at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Vogelweh Youth Programs, Bldg. 1057 (on housing side of base). May carnival in Landstuhl
Landstuhl holds its traditional May carnival with rides and vendors starting at 4 p.m. today, and noon Saturday, Sunday and Monday. A fireworks display lit from Nanstein Castle at 10 p.m. Monday will close out the event. Monday will be family day with reduced prices.
