Blossom fest in Freinsheim The wine-growing community of Freinsheim celebrates its annual blossom fest Saturday and Sunday. Guided hikes along the trails with trees in blossom take place 11:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Wagon rides start at noon. Visitors will find a large diversity of culinary specialties, wines and art items throughout the medieval town. Children can enjoy a little amusement park next to the Iron Gate. Bands provide musical entertainment in different locations. Stores open for shopping noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. The old part of town is closed to motorized traffic.
