Having a mother who is 88 and losing her eyesight, I can say that ADULT RESOURCE ALLIANCE IS AN ABSOLUTE GODSEND! Mom looks forward to her Meals on Wheels delivery every day, especially because the volunteers who bring her meals are so kind and friendly - They truly make her day! And it goes without saying that receiving assistance with Medicare open enrollment is invaluable. 908 active donors Donor revenue up 18.79% over last year Retained donor revenue up 12.88% 253 new donors, up 12% over the prior year • Revenue from Rockin’ Under the Big Sky 2021 was over $58,000

MEALS ON WHEELS

• 88,324 Meals were prepared for participants in the Billings, Laurel, Shepherd and Worden areas.

• 660 individuals received these meals.

• 12,117 hours were donated by 181 volunteer drivers

NUTRITION

• 41,908 Meals were prepared and served to seniors through our Congregate Meal Program • 2194 individuals received these meals • Weekend / Frozen Meals were available to seniors through our nutrition program

RESOURCE CENTER

• The Resource Center helped 485 Medicare beneficiaries save nearly $521,000 by moving to a cheaper prescription drug plan during the2021-2022 open enrollment period.

• Over 2,000 clients assisted during 2021-2022 • The Resource Center staff have had over 7,500 unique contacts • The Resource Center staff has provided over 90 public educational outreach events and over 20 educational media outreach events in the last twelve months

TRANSPORTATION

• Over 250 seniors, age 60 and above, qualified for various transportation services in the greater Billings area • ARA contracted with MET PLUS Special Transit and local cab services providing over 7,333 free medical rides • Personal free/weekly rides are now available through the RIDES Program for qualifying seniors using AVP certified volunteers • ARA provided more than 2,500 trips for rural bus services within City of Laurel and trips to Billings from Laurel and Custer

A HELPING HAND

THE ADULT RESOURCE ALLIANCE OF YELLOWSTONE COUNTY DOES SO MUCH GOOD FOR OUR SENIORS. They provide Meals on Wheels, Senior Lunch Program at 11 sites throughout Yellowstone County, as well as assistance with senior housing and transportation.

My wife Deb and I meet every year with a specialist from the Adult Resource Alliance to choose the most beneficial prescription drug plan. We are very lucky to have the Adult Resource Alliance of Yellowstone County taking such great care of our seniors.

A Word From Our Executive Director

FISCAL YEAR 2022 The end of fiscal year 2022 marks the third year of operations impacted

by COVID 19. We started off the year very hopeful and ready to move on, only to see a significant increase in cases during the Fall. Nevertheless, we were able to reopen all of our essential services and began the process of getting back to normal.

Rockin’ Under the Big Sky was held at ZooMontana on September 17th. It was a wonderful evening, and raised over $60,000.

Through the Fall, in spite of COVID, we were able to manage the Medicare open enrollment process helping our seniors save over $520,000.

Beginning in late January, we once again hosted the AARP tax-aid program, completing over 600 tax filings for Yellowstone County seniors.

The senior centers throughout the County were able to reopen for meals and activities. Meals on Wheels continued to see high demand reaching those seniors homebound

either temporarily or permanently. It has been delightful seeing all these programs get back up and running.

I want to give a shout out to the ARAYC staff for their resilience and dedication through a challenging and, at times, frustrating year. And, I cannot say enough about the many volunteers who selflessly give of their time and energy serving seniors through our ARAYC programs, area senior centers, and our community partners.

We could not reach the number of folks we do without your generosity. I also want to acknowledge the great partners we are able to assist through the Yellowstone County Senior Mill levy. Big Sky Senior Services, Family Service Inc., Community Leadership and Development, MET Transit, and Billings Park and Rec. all provide critical services for seniors and receive support with mill levy funds. We thank the Yellowstone County Commissioners for their continued support!
