Saturday, August 13 “Friends of the Children - Detroit” School Supply Party Friends of the Children - Detroit is the local chapter of a nation-wide organization that pairs paid mentors with at-risk youth for years of support, helping them build trust and inner strength. Pitch in with the other All Seasons communities, deliver school supplies in person at their summer party downtown, and support these Detroit youth as they get ready for a brand-new, in-person school year! Wednesday, Aug 24 Blue Hawai’i Luau Aloha! Celebrate the sunshine with a delicious Hawai’i-inspired culinary spread, activities, and music by ‘Blue Hawaii’ Elvis Presley, himself! Leading up to the Luau, we’ll be learning about the diverse and complicated history of the Polynesian nation and about Queen Lili‘uokalani, the First Sovereign Queen and Last Monarch of Hawai‘i.
