MINDFUL MEDITATION AND HOW TO GET STARTED WITH HEADSPACE
Mindful meditation promotes many physical and psychological benefits. It’s nothing new; people have been meditating since 5000 BC. The mental training practice offers a different way of dealing with stress, by calming the mind and body. You just sit still and relax, and don’t dwell on the thoughts that drift through your head. When you meditate your breath slows down, heart rate slows, blood pressure decreases, stress decreases, and tension in the body decreases. Through science-backed meditation and mindfulness tools, this series helps you create life-changing habits to support your mental health and find a healthier, happier you. Headspace is proven to reduce stress by 14% in just 10 days. It can also help you relax your mind in minutes, improve focus, and get the best sleep ever. Even if you’ve never heard of Mindful Meditation, it’s ok - come check it out for yourself!
