PORTFOLIO Ademola Adeyoola

A graduate of Business Administration from the University of Lagos in the year 2014, I decided to pursue my passion in the creative field as a visual artist.

I learned Graphic design at the New Horizons Computer Learning Center in 2016, and Advertising at 02Academy in 2017.

I currently work as an Art Director with Nitro121, creating solutions for top brands including 9mobile, FirstBank, Bajaj, Honeywell, BAT and Cadbury.

Drawing, swimming and movies are some of my hobbies.

Nitro121 Assistant Art Director (August 2017 - June 2020).

Nitro121 Deputy Art Director (June 2020 till date).

Came up with and executed various advertising concepts under the supervision of senior Art Directors.

Created ATL and BTL designs for various brands and adapted to platforms.

Created story boards and mood boards for TV commercials.

Developed and executed advertising campaign concepts that resonated with the target audience and helped achieve the overall aim for the businesses.

Created artistic illustrations for print adverts.

Teamed up with Copywriters, Brand managers and Strategists to come up with strategic directions in response to Client briefs.

Supervised Co-Artists in developing effective advertising concepts from ideation to final art stages.

The Brief To create awareness of the newly introduced pause feature which enables users to pause and resume data usage.

My approach Emphasize the new pause feature through iconogtaphy by re-creating the pause symbol with ice and creating the illusion of frozen moments.

The Brief Connect with the audience and project 9moble as a caring brand on Workers’ Day.

My approach Bring the iconic Three white capped chiefs statues to life and depict them at leisure to inspire the audience to connect relax and have fun the 1st of May.

The brief To create awareness for 9mobile’s affordable call rates in the UAE.

My approach Through the use of iconography, I chose to depict the Burj Khalifa using sound waves to suggest calls being made in the UAE and let the headlines bring home the message.

The brief Take advantage of the .....world cup frenzy to connect with the target audience and remain top of mind by constantly engaging them during matches involving our Super Eagles across the period.

My approach Employ photo manipulation to build a whistle, which is a decisive symbol in football to create a campaign.

Creatives comprise a holding material, and subsequent creatives that announce decisive moments during matches involving our very own Super Eagles.

Young Cannes Lions The brief Develop a creative that communicates the importance of developing local healthcare to upper class Nigerians.

My approach I synchronized medical imagery with locations wealthy Nigerians go to for treatment, while highlighting the actual distance in the copy.

The message is simple: in the event of an emergency, the difference between life and death could be how well equipped your local hospital is.

Note: This ad won in the print category of the 2020 Young Lions competition.

Honeywell Flour Mills

The brief Celebrate and identify with Nigerians on her 6oth th year Independence Day milestone while connecting with Nigerians on an emotional level for such a great feat of achievement.

My approach The founding fathers of Nigeria’s Independence are a strong symbol of pride and patriotism.

I created a campaign using our heroes with toothpicks in their mouths suggesting they have had an enjoyable meal with honeywell.

Honeywell Flour Mills

The brief Honeywell Flour Mills in its own way wanted to show special appreciation and support of workers in the best way possible, giving special recognition to health personnel across board for the relentless work being carried out even in the face of the COVID-19 storm).

My approach The COVID-19 pandemic saw roles ip.

Our doctors and nursed became our soldiers in the ď€ ght against the virus so the rest of us can enjoy our peace while at home.

This was depicted with a split screen scenery showing the medical war front on the left, and a peaceful dining scenario on the right.

Honeywell Flour Mills

The brief HFMP wanted to leverage the 2019 Children’s day celebration to drive awareness and portray itself as kids-centric.

My approach Play into the crafty and playful nature of kids to show how Honeywell Noodles helps fuel their dreams and imaginations.

The noodles is made to look like the ames from a not too sophisticated hand crafted rocket to reinforce the message.

Bajaj

The brief Connect with the audience on the 1st of May and give special recognition to our health workers in the ď€ ght against Covid-19, while projecting a message of hope to Nigerians in general.

My approach I merged two major icons from both worlds (ie the stethoscope, shaped as a bike) to make the message simple and more impactful.

Bajaj

The brief Develop a key visual communicating the strategic partnership between Bajaj Auto Ltd and Stallion Motors as sole distributors of the 3 and 4 wheeler arm of the business.

The KV would support a more elaborate launch event.

My approach Makin the 3 wheeler and 4 wheeler products themselves the focus, with a classy and sophisticated feel, the message is directly communicated.

FBN Insurance (Pitch)

The brief Create awareness for the different products from FBN General Insurance, highlighting their individual beneď€ ts as like friends in times of need.

My approach I created a campaign leveraging key moments that are relatable when tragedy strikes to communicate the product beneď€ ts in text led format.
