Happy Independence Day!As India and Indians across the globe gear up to celebrate 68 years of independence, i want to ask a question to all the Indian expats living in HK. Are we all really independent from the burden of expensive living costs in HK? Education, House Rental, Tiny houses and Private Medication are some of the main factors taking away more than 60% of your monthly income. Plus the language barrier doesn’t let you or your spouse switch over to better jobs easily. Our cover story in this issue highlights about the difficulties we face in Hong Kong in order to save some money for our better future. I wouldn’t say it’s the same scenario for the rich Indian businessmen and high profile corporate job owners who are getting highly paid in Hong Kong. This situation mainly prevails amongst the Lower to Middle Income group families. In HK, the rich guys are filthy rich and the lower income groups are struggling like hell.
