TRANSFER OF LAND: The Chairman reported that the transfer of land to the PC of the ransom strip on Aynho Road and the land on Milton Road was ongoing with no problems. VILLAGE MATTERS: FOCAL had thanked the PC for their donation of £2000 which would be used over the next 4 years. They were going ahead with a Crime writers event and planned fund raising events were almost monthly. ANNUAL PARISH MEETING: The meeting was on 12 April in the Methodist Hall when there were presentations relating to play equipment, the Neighbourhood Plan and Adderbury Lakes. MILTON ROAD/HORN HILL ROAD FEASIBILITY STUDY: Possible options included junction narrowing or modification, or the possible insertion of ‘pinch points’ and/or associated humps or cushions along Horn Hill Road/ Cross Hill Road/New Road/Water Lane. It was agreed that more clarification was needed on costs, together with further surveys and possible funding from 106 Monies. Any decisions on street lighting would be deferred until after the forthcoming PC elections. NEXT MEETINGS: Next PC meeting is 12 May. ADDERBURY PARISH COUNCIL GRANTS 2016 Adderbury Parish Council has set aside a budget of £2,000 for the financial year 2016/17 that may be awarded in the form of grants to groups based in the village whose activities benefit residents. The Parish Council has established some simple criteria for awarding grants, basic guidelines for applicants and a common application process in the hope of achieving an outcome that treats all applicants as fairly as possible. The guidelines are also intended to help applicants decide whether to pursue a grant application in the first place and to ensure that the criteria for awarding grants are clearly understood by both applicants and councillors alike. Grants for 2016 will be agreed at the Parish Council meeting on 28 June 2016 and applications will need to be received by Friday 17 June 2016.
