Back in Full Swing ROYAL FREMANTLE GOLF CLUB The first fixture of the year was held at Royal Fremantle Golf Club under challenging conditions, with the temperature reaching 39 degrees as the group teed off. Sixteen brave golfers took to the course for our traditional opening game at the superb Royal Fremantle course. Michael Welten managed the difficult conditions superbly, finishing with a terrific score of 37 stableford points, including an eagle three on the closing par 5 eighteenth hole. This was enough to hold off Hugh Gillespie on 36 points and John Scully in third place with 34 stableford points. Congratulations to those players. Our sponsored novelty events were dominated by John Scully winning three of the four nearest the pin prizes on offer. Brad Potter secured the remaining nearest the pin prize.
