Our thanks to Southern Implants for the donation of implants and components for a Rebuilding Smiles case. Generous donations such as these, as well as the time of the volunteers, is what makes treating these grateful patients a reality.

HEALING SMILES AND WOMEN IN DENTISTRY BREAKFAST

The Healing Smiles and Women in Dentistry Society breakfast in December was a wonderful event, with volunteers celebrated. There was also an informative talk by paediatrician and infectious diseases physician Dr Daniel Yeoh on COVID-19 vaccination.

SICKLY SWEET

With Australians drinking more than 2.4 billion litres of sugary drinks each year, this is a social-media campaign ADAWA can certainly get behind. Launched by the Australian Medical Association, the #SicklySweet campaign turns the tables on the many sophisticated soft drink ads directed at young people each summer. We urge you to get behind #SicklySweet too!

RISE OF CDBS REBATES

From 1 January 2022, the amount of dental benefits payable for dental services provided under the CDBS increased. The amount increased from $1000 to $1013, with a further rise for the 2022-2023 period to $1026.
