SERVICE AWARD Congratulations to our CEO, Dr David Hallett, for receiving a ‘Distinguished Service Award’ from the Australian Dental Association. Congratulations also go to Dr Amanda Phoon Nguyen, who received a 'Valuable Service Award' from the ADA.
HEALING SMILES SCREENING DAY Volunteers from Healing Smiles continue to make a difference to those in need. Thank you to Dr Shanash Bishnulall (Healing Smiles volunteer dentist) and dental assistant, Chika Ushijima, and the Maylands Dental staff, for giving up 10 hours of their time for a recent Healing Smiles screening and emergency treatment day. They saw nine grateful people (providing over $10,000 of treatment, with nearly all requiring complex treatment, including surgical extractions). Our thanks also go to Drs Jonathan Lo and Justin Soon from Maylands Dental, who kindly offered the clinical space to host the day.
