Las Maldivas es un archipiélago formado por casi 2.000 islas, de las cuales sólo unas 200 están habitadas, y 87 de ellas se dedican enteramente al turismo. La ciudad

En la isla de Malé está ubicada la ciudad, con la sede de gobierno, negocios, escuelas, etc. Tiene una población aproximada de 105.000 personas siendo el lugar más habitado del país. En los últimos cinco siglos, Maldivas pasó sucesivamente por manos portuguesas, holandesas y británicas, su independencia data desde hace 50 años. Es el país menos poblado de Asia.

Actividades del paraíso

Los resorts ofrecen diversas actividades tanto acuáticas como terrestres, lo más llamativo para los viajeros es el snorkel, donde se puede hacer un safari marino inigualable.

También hay para los más aventureros como el surf e incluso ir a las salas especiales de los hoteles donde encontrarás simuladores para practicar distintos deportes. Pero si se prefiere algo más tranquilo, se pueden solicitar clases de cocina privada para conocer la gastronomía del lugar, o hacer yoga sobre el agua, casi todos los deseos se podrán cumplir en este paraíso terrenal.
