OUR CONCEPT OF HERITAGE WALK We are aiming to preserve the rich heritage by passing the enrich knowledge of history to the people and aggrandizing what ancestors have left for us. Our approach is to make tourism development ecologically supportable in the long term. The importance of this lies in its motives to conserve the resources and increase the value of local culture and tradition. It is considered as responsible tourism that aims at generating employment and income along without having any deeper impact on environment and local culture of the city. Segregating the traffic and minimizing the use of private vehicles by promoting the use of public transport.
WHY HAVE WE SELECTED THIS STRETCH ? We have selected the core city area of Panaji in order to distress the area from noise and air pollution generated by private vehicles. The existing situation is failing to take advantage of the potential but we as planners want to enhance the character of the stretch. This stretch brings alive the fact that modern Goa is a product of the blend of many different cultures like the Kadamba dynasty, Bijapur Sultanate and the Portuguese.
