My Ideas Alternative genre look
Kings of Leon always follow the laid back look in all of their videos to suit the mood of their songs. I think which would match perfectly with what we would want to show in ours.
Scenery
I am looking for a dark but light coloured scenery. Filming in the woods with the sun shinning through is the sort of lighting and background that will go well.
Male performing solo
Ben Howard has been a big inspiration towards us as his music is similar to the artist we have chosen. His music and videos also go for both alternative and acoustic looks with greenery and solo performances in these places.

Erick Baker • Erick Baker is an American singer and songwriter from Tennessee. • He has been performed aside the likes of John Legend and toured around in his hometown. • He also goes for the Ben Howard look with his music and lyrics combined. Which is why I think that having it set in some sort of scenery would match perfectly with the lyrics and set the mood and tension of the music. • This picture can show you a lot about his representation and sums up my first slide on my ideas as he is going for different looks and backgrounds and shows that all within him.
The Music Video The solo artist will connect with imagery shown. Walking around in this scenery and getting a feel of the relaxation within the music. I will use someone who can understand and relate to what the lyrics and music is saying so they can signify this clearly.
The inspiration for me came from this alternative band who really touch on the aspect of connecting their music well with the music video in order for their audiences to understand and connect with lyrics and music. My target audience would range from teens to late 20’s however it can be older depending on if it appeals or not.
The scenery is one of the main aspects as we want the song to connect with the imagery in order to try and connote what the artist intended in terms of lyrics and symphony. To film all of this I would use an HD camera to really capture the scenery and I will add on other effects after whilst editing to make it look more appealing.
Kings of Leon – Back Down South Kings of Leon are one band that really inspired me when I was looking for a kind of acoustic or alternative artist. I wanted to take them as my inspiration to create something kind of similar in order to connect to the right audience. In order to promote this artist it needs to be appealing towards our audience and is why I think this band is perfect to follow as a guideline to what we should be considering to show in our video. From these shots you can see most of it is shot in the open and shots that relate to the lyrics of the song. The shots also set the mood of the song so they go very well with the music in the background.
