Digipak analysis

Kings of Leon Come Around Sundown Digipak: The colours to start off with for the digipak match the album and the name of the album, also kind of signifies some of their songs which matches and appeals well. Inside it has a booklet which is the picture of the album and inside contains information for their audience to look at and know more about the album and on both sides contains two CD's. The first CD contains the normal album and the second CD has bonus tracks that you wouldn't get on the normal album. The sunny colours could signify the songs and what they may be about and as I know of their videos are filmed in the sunlight so the album front cover shows what we are meant to be feeling from the lyrics and harmony. The representation of the band we get from this is what we are going to be listening into and what the band may be like.

Jason Mraz Love Is A Four Letter Word Digipak:

The colours on the digipak are very simple making the name of the album at the front stand out. Inside there is the original album CD and a booklet which contains special information on the tracks about who produced and so on. Inside the digipak is very simple only a 6 sided pack and not really any other special features for the audience. The reason for the digipak looking simple could be because it matches the front cover only making the title on the front the important part. The front cover has LOVE written only on the cover making that word important from the actual name of the album. Automatically the audience will know what they are going to be listening into and knowing that the songs are going to be based on love. Clearly the representation of the artist is showing love as his motto for the album making it stand out, so we can tell what sort of person the artist is.

Oasis digipak analysis The Oasis digipak has 6 panels, and the design clearly shows what genre it is. The acoustic guitar on the front shows that it is indie-rock/acoustic, and the choice of organic natural colours help to create a indie theme to the digipak. The digipak uses two types of fonts, one for the main text (track listing, CD title, volume number etc.) and a more distinctive font for the band name. The digipak uses various photos of the guitar from different angles on each panel, and follows all of the digipak conventions. This digipak relates to our genre and audience because of the colour schemes associated with indie, and the guitar that is a well known instrument in indie acoustic music.
