JOB TITLE: Trainee Sales Administrator/Co-ordinator

Abacus are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic person, who is looking for a permanent role in a busy office environment to train and work as a member of our Sales OfficeTeam to provide day-to-day support serving our external sales teams and customer markets. Dealing with all forms of customer communication, making certain the voice of the customer is always heard. To support our external sales team whilst they are in the field, enabling them to liaise with our customers effectively.

Always working in a positive and professional manner to meet and exceed our customer’s expectations.

QUALITIES & ABILITIES

After training the role will consist of, but not limited to the following tasks;

• Receiving, logging and processing customer enquiries.

• Preparing customer quotations in a timely and professional manner.

• Communicate with other departments, to gain lead time and price information to enable the customer quotation to be completed.

• Entering customer orders on to SAP system, ensuring that they are reviewed and authorised in line with company policy, prior to verification. (Within given KPI timescales)

• Liaise with internal departments (e.g. technical, financial, production), as appropriate, to check the order progress.

• Pro-actively communicate with customers and sales teams on their order status’.

• Recognise issues that need to be raised to senior management and report this in a timely manner to their line manager.

• Other ad hoc activities to support the team and drive processes forward.

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFACTAIONS

• Proficient in using ICT equipment and software including, Microsoft Office programmes including Word and Excel.

• Must have the ability to work as part of the team and under own initiative as appropriate, within defined authority limits.

• Willing t learn and quickly understand the basics of engineered / bespoke products, their functions, and applications.

• Ability to effectively communicate and work with colleagues and key contacts at all levels.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Demonstrate good time management skills and flexibility to meet the expectation of our customers.

• Previous history of employment within a customer service based role

HOURS OF WORK:

7:30AM – 4:15PM Monday to Thursday

7:30AM – 12:00PM Friday = 37.5 hours per week

Job Types: Full Time, Permanent Salary: TBC

Work Location: Head Office - Sutton in Ashfield
