Regina A. Hairston

Regina A. Hairston is the President & CEO of the African-American Chamber of Commerce of Pennsylvania, New Jersey & Delaware. She was previously the chief deputy register of Philadelphia’s Register of Wills. Prior to this, she was a senior associate of Bellevue Strategies.

During her tenure at Bellevue, Hairston led the team’s response in assisting Starbucks with their outreach in building partnerships and relationship repair in the City of Philadelphia.

Regina holds a bachelor of science degree from Saint Joseph’s University and a master of public administration from the University of Pennsylvania. She also serves on the boards of the Philadelphia Theater Company, City Year Philadelphia and the Johnson Manor of Faith and Education.

Sharrie Williams

Sharrie Williams joined the Action News team in March 2014. Before arriving in Philadelphia, Sharrie was the weekend anchor and weekday reporter at KTVT-TV in Dallas, Texas. While in Dallas, Sharrie covered major events that made national and international headlines, including Texas’ record-breaking winter ice storms and Super Bowl XLV. Prior to working in North Texas, Sharrie spent three years in Miami covering the gamut of stories, from traveling to Haiti in the wake of the four hurricanes of 2008, and later the 2010 earthquake, to covering legal trials of the rich and famous. Sharrie was also front and center when all eyes were on the Miami Heat, covering Shaquille O’Neal’s departure in 2008, and LeBron James’ much-anticipated decision to join the team in 2010. Success South Florida Magazine selected Sharrie for the “Top 40 Under 40,” and she was featured on the publication’s cover. With a passion for knowledge and information, Sharrie has a gift for getting the people she interviews to open up and tell their story.

Sharrie’s work has also taken her to Birmingham, Alabama, where she was an anchor/reporter for both news and sports at WVTM-TV, and prior to that, Jackson, Tennessee, where she was a news anchor at WBBJ-TV. She earned her undergraduate degree in broadcasting communications from the University of Tennessee. In fact, she began her journalism career while still in college, producing feature stories on Tennessee Volunteer athletes for Fox Sports Net South.

Donna Bullock Donna Bullock is a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives representing the 195th Legislative District in North and West Philadelphia since August 2015. She previously served as special assistant to Philadelphia City Council President Darrell L. Clarke and as the City Council research fellowship director.

Before her work for the city, Bullock worked at a private law firm and for Philadelphia Community Legal Services, She volunteered and served on several boards, task forces, and coalitions.

Congressman

Dwight Evans Congressman Dwight Evans represents Pennsylvania’s 3rd Congressional District. He was first elected in a special election in November 2016. Before that, he served as a state representative for 36 years. He made history in 1990 when he became the first AfricanAmerican chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, a position he held for two decades. He currently serves on the Ways and Means Committee and the Small Business Committee. He is also a member of the House Gun Violence Prevention Task Force.

Damien Ghee Damien M. Ghee is the Regional Vice President for the Greater Philadelphia Lending Group at TD Bank. relationship building focused on leading for-profit, not-for-profit and middle market companies.

He previously held the roles of Senior

Vice President & Team Leader, Senior Relationship Manager, and Commercial Credit Manager for the Metro PA/SJ Middle Market Lending Group at TD Bank in Philadelphia.

He serves as Chairman of the Metro PA/NJ Regional Diversity Council.

In addition, Damien serves Vice Chair on the executive board of directors for the People’s Emergency Center in Philadelphia and Vice Chair of the Virtua Health Foundation in Southern New Jersey. He was selected by the Philadelphia Business Journal to receive the "2020 Minority Business Leader Award" and ROI-NJ "2020 People of Color Influencer list." In addition, he received the 2016 Philadelphia Business Journal “40 under 40 Award”, and 2014 “Urban Leader under 40” Award from the Urban League of Philadelphia for the service, support

leadership

in

the

community

and

the

Greater

Philadelphia area. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce of Southern New Jersey by providing support for businesses in the seven counties in Southern New Jersey, Greater Philadelphia and Northern Delaware.

Derek Green In 2015, Councilmember Derek Green, Esquire won the Democratic primary for City Council At-Large in Philadelphia by receiving the highest number of votes cast in the election, and later that year, he was elected as a member of the City Council of Philadelphia. In 2019, he was elected for another term.

As a member of the City Council, Derek Green chairs the Committee on Finance and Disabilities and serves as the Vice Chair of the Committees on Aging and Law and Government. Additionally, he serves as the Chair of the Philadelphia Gas Commission, Board Director for the Philadelphia Cultural Fund, Board Director for the Democratic Municipal Officials, Board Director for the National League of Cities, Regional Director for the National Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials, and 1st Vice President for the Pennsylvania Municipal League He is also a graduate of the University of Virginia and Temple University School of Law and is a member of the Center for Progressive

Vincent Hughes Vincent J. Hughes is a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania State Senate, representing the 7th District since 1994. He is currently the Democratic chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee. Hughes previously served as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from the 190th District from 1987 to 1995.

Senator Hughes has a career long commitment to providing health insurance for the uninsured and his leadership, public advocacy, and legislative strategy led to Pennsylvania’s full implementation of the Affordable Care Act. Senator Hughes was a leader in the fight to raise the state minimum wage. Former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell called Senator Hughes "our general" in the successful legislative battle to increase wages for low-income workers in Pennsylvania over $1 billion.

Senator Hughes has been recognized locally and nationally for his work on HIV/AIDS, and the challenges of behavioral health in the African-American community. A believer in breaking down the financial barriers for underserved students in higher education, he has raised over $1 million in scholarship funds for students to attend college. He is a leader in the fight for paid sick leave, and a leader in creating housing for veterans and survivors of domestic violence.

development, is currently introducing a comprehensive "Marshall Plan" for housing and urban revitalization. Senator Vincent Hughes is a trustee of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, and is supported by his loving wife, actress, entertainer and activist Sheryl Lee Ralph, and their blended family of four children.

Michael Nutter Serving almost 15 years in the Philadelphia City Council, Michael A. Nutter was elected the 98th Mayor of his hometown in November 2007 and took office in January 2008. Prior to his election, he represented District 4 in the Philadelphia City Council from 1992-2006.
