A NEW DIRECTION REDARC RELEASES MORE TOW-PRO FOR THE KEY GUYS ELITE ACCESSORIES The Key Guys says it is expanding into diagnostic services From its roots as wholesalers of key housings and garage remotes, The Key Guys says it has burgeoned through the years and has recently launched a “game-changing” new venture. Today, The Key Guys says it is a major player in the diagnostic and programming sector, specialising in automotive key duplication. It says its flagship product, the “ground-breaking” TKG Kiosk, lead the way as a complete package for on-site key duplication.

The new accessories are designed to further improve the installation of the Tow-Pro Elite Redarc has added to its range of Tow-Pro Elite accessories.

Tow-Pro Elite Mounting Kit The Tow-Pro Elite Mounting Kit (EBMK-001) simplifies the installation of the brake controller main unit under the dash of a vehicle. It is designed to fasten the main unit with two M4 bolts either at right angles, in-line or diagonally across the main unit. It also features an M6 slot and nut/bolt allowing connection to the vehicle on a suitable M6 stud or M6 hole.

TPSI-008 Switch Insert Panel Redarc has also added an additional Switch Insert to its range. The Redarc TPSI-008 Switch Insert Panel is suitable for the Nissan Pathfinder R52 (2013-onwards), Navara NP300 (2015-onwards) and Mercedes-Benz X Class (2018-onwards), replacing the switch blank in the front console.

Its product range has now grown from keys only to encompass the machinery and accessories required to cut and program those keys as appropriate to the vehicle. Backed by what it calls unparalleled technical support, The Key Guys says it is also well-regarded for providing the efficient and accurate advice that is so crucial to their customers’ success. The Key Guys’ latest expansion is The Key Whisperers, which offers off-site Immo Service conducted in their offices and dispatched back to the customer. Thanks to 30 plus years of experience, the team is able to not only supply ready cut and programmed keys, but also assist in any ECU/ immobiliser situation, including repairs or reprogramming of ECUs and other immobiliser components. Currently on offer are Mercedes EIS Service and immo PIN and key-cutting codes for Holden, Hyundai, and Kia, with a view to supply a broader range of codes in the near future. Always looking forward, the company says it even has its sights set on such services and ECU repair and airbag resetting. For more information, visit www.thekeyguys.com.au 26

7A Encapsulated Protection Device Another recent release is the Encapsulated Protection Device (EPDK-001). It has been designed to fit in the trailer stop lamp feed to support the installation of the Tow-Pro Electric Brake Controller on vehicles where ‘back-feed’ of 12V (during Tow-Pro Manual Override) may interfere with the vehicle systems.

When installed correctly, the EPDK-001 ensures correct Trailer braking and Stop Lamp operation when the vehicle brakes or the Tow-Pro Manual Override is used. It is suitable for General Purpose use and rated at seven Amps for both 12 and 24V applications. It is totally encapsulated with sealed connections. It is also capable of supporting a maximum seven Amps at a maximum ambient temperature of 85°C.

A comprehensive range Redarc says these new additions join its comprehensive range of accessories for the TowPro range, which includes wiring kits, switch inserts, protection devices, remote head wiring kits and now a mounting bracket. All accessories have been designed to simplify the installation of the unit into the vehicles. The Tow-Pro Elite V3 was released in January 2019 and features improvements to the remote head and is compatible with new vehicle technology. Redarc says it also maintains the simple operation it is resnowned for and industry-leading selectable modes of braking, ‘Proportional’ for highways and sealed roads and ‘User-controlled’ for off-road driving.
