The Burns Family was also able say “YES” to forever with their 3-year old son after fostering him since he was 4 months old. Family, friends, and babysitters took part in the court hearing both in-person and online, and the joy in the room was undeniable. “I’m excited he has a fighting chance to be exactly who God created him to be. We’re excited he is safe. I get to be part of breaking those generational curses he was born into and create new lineage and healthy opportunities for him,” shared Dawn Burns after the adoption.

While both of these families cared for their boys as their own from the moment they began fostering them, it is such a blessing to know they each now have a permanent place to call home. Family is not built simply on genes, but on the kind of love that will always be there for you when need it most.
