Get to know: Trent Blinkman In this edition, lets get to know Trent Blinkman, Vice President Americas Customer Facing.

Where do you live? In the warmer months, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; colder months, Mesa, Arizona How long have you worked for 3M? 32 years What have you felt most proud of accomplishing? At 3M, leading the global deployment of Salesforce; In life, 25+ years of marriage and a family of five that enjoys being together 😊.

What is your hidden talent? Largely due growing up on a farm and working in our family welding-machine shop business, I’m known to find a way to build and fix most things on my own. I only hire other people to do things for me when I must (becoming more often as I get older). This mindset gets me into self-inflicted messes sometimes, but I’ve been slow to change in this way.

Tell us about your family, who you live with? My wife Laura and I are empty-nesters now, having sent 3 children into the “real world”. Laura has a business where she makes and sells “tree jewelry”, mostly on-line. Our oldest daughter, Maria, is a registered nurse at an oncology clinic in Phoenix, AZ. We have twin sons: Cale is working in Sioux Falls, SD and Shane is in graduate school in Stanford, CA (mechanical engineering – robotics). All three were competitive swimmers, reflected in the pictures.

What things do you enjoy doing in your spare time? Physical stuff. Exercise, DIY projects; travel with family and friends; 2 and 4 wheel riding, on and off road.

What is your favorite place to visit and why? Ha Long Bay in Vietnam. It’s a dreamy place to be, staying on a “junk boat” and meandering about the hundreds of limestone pillars projecting out of the water. Going there with my family remains a special memory.

Would you Rather – winter or summer for the rest of your life and why? Summer. I do like the change of seasons, but growing up on a farm in the northern plains of the USA, I have had my fill of relocating snow. I’ve moved snow with all kinds of machines and with hand shovels … I don’t enjoy it anymore.

If money was no issue at all, what would you buy? The Pittsburgh Steelers Please share with us your favorite joke. Why was 6 afraid of 7? Because 7,8,9

Tell us a little about yourself Hi I’m Nella, I’ve been in 3M for the last 23 years, 19 years in CBG, across different countries in LATAM in different marketing and commercial roles. I moved to ECO 4 years ago and have been learning a lot about operations and how our processes and services support the BGs from the center of the company, and the great impact we have in customer experience. I love to work with people and believe in the power of people to make a difference.

I have been a 3M employee for almost 37 years. I began my 3M journey at the Montreal branch in 1987. In 1995, I re-located to London, Ontario, to 3M Canada’s Corporate Head Office.

During this time, I’ve had amazing opportunities to volunteer for great causes in our community. One being a 3.5 month secondment with the United Way in 2017. As a member of the Indigenous community, I’m also proud to be a member of 3M Canada’s Indigenous Employee Resource Network (ERN).

CF Americas: Resolution Owner, Carrier Returns, CIR Puerto Rico, and POD Halloween contest.

The Halloween engagement activity was created and lead by Maria Alpizar and Manuel Vargas who suggested the idea and even created an ad to invite the whole team to be part of it. The teams who participated were all located in the Costa Rica GSC. The contest had a free lunch for whoever wins, and we had a draw, so Valeria as Chucky and Karen as Ferxo bot both receive a free lunch. Thanks to everyone for your participation!
