Did You Know?
We have over 20 miles of private pedestrian, biking and golf cart trails!
I began employment at Flowers Plantation in 2011 in the Information & Sales Division.
What inspired me most to work here was the beauty of the work environment, the friendly coworkers and the fact that there was a need that I felt I could fulfill.
What I like most about my position is meeting with prospective home buyers, and telling them of the many attributes of our community. I can use my years of experience in real estate sales and management to truly listen to a potential buyers' needs in size, price range, and design and guide them to the neighborhoods which meet their needs so that they may find their future home, and become my neighbor.
What I like most about Flowers Plantation is the beauty of the planned terrain with flowering trees and
tall evergreens used as buffers from street noise. The rural setting offers nearby produce farms and farmers' markets. I can sit on my patio and watch Blue Birds nest and hatch and fawns across the pond where herons often land.
There is a sense of community in the neighborhoods where residents get together to socialize and to help each other where needed.
The reason I moved to Flowers Plantation is that after working here only a few weeks I decided this is where I want to live. My husband and I have lived in many places due to his career. We both agree that this is the best place of all. We have a peaceful environment with almost all our needs met within walking distance to the commercial area.

The Selma Cyclepaths was formed over 30 years ago to raise $$ for and awareness of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) through participation in the annual BikeMS ride. Raising funds for MS remains our primary goal and to date we have raised $1,977,542 for the cause. We hope to reach the $2 million mark this year - which will make us the first cycling team to raise that amount in the Carolinas. Finding a cure for MS is near and dear to our hearts as many of our
members either have MS or have close ties to someone living with MS. The BikeMS New Bern Event is September 9th and 10th. 33 Cyclepaths are signed up for the event and almost $10,000 has been raised so far this year. Training rides are planned for every Saturday from April 1 through September 1. Three distances are available at each training ride and SAG is provided. The Grocery Bag generously allows us to keep our SAG supplies at
their store. Our starting point each year has been on Flowers Plantation property ( thanks so much!), but this year we moved the start to Thanksgiving Elementary School due to construction/traffic concerns. We welcome all cyclists to our rides, even if they can’t participate in BikeMS. The second goal of the club is to promote a healthy lifestyle through cycling and friendships.
