Value for Sutton

VALUE FOR SUTTON It is important that you have a voice. A strong YES vote in our renewal ballot means that we can provide increased value for money for businesses and one united voice to the business community.

OUR four key co mmit ments

• Act as a strong collective business voice that has influence on the decisions made about the town centre.

• Extend the free recycling scheme to over 150 businesses in order to drive down costs further and to continue to provide a heavily subsidised food waste collection.

• Make available High Street grants to businesses in order to continually improve the High Street environment.

• Work with Sutton Council to provide an effective and enhanced town centre management service.

A stron we can g yes continue vote also to : means

• Manage the site management agreement with the Institute of

Fundraising to restrict unsolicited charity workers (chuggers) in the

High Street.

• Host networking events for levy payers to meet and make new contacts and share best practice.

• Organise historic walking tours to promote Sutton and its heritage to new residents, visitors and employees.

• Continue to lobby for an extension to the Tram network to include Sutton.

CONSULTATION results

Up to 85

businesses have used and benefitted from our mixed recycling service.

Town centre businesses have saved over

1,500

trees through our mixed recycling service.

45 tonnes

of cardboard and mixed waste are collected each year.

65%

of businesses support a collective voice for their views and concerns.

61%

support our restriction on ‘Chuggers’.

To enable these activities to continue, businesses must VOTE YES in the Successful Sutton BID renewal ballot.

Successful Sutton has made a big difference to our town in a short space of time and I would like to see this continue into the future.

The priorities for the BID renewal are clear and focus on the issues that affect us all daily. Enhancing Sutton, Protecting Sutton, Brighter Sutton and Value for Sutton. Making the town centre a safer, cleaner and more interesting place to shop, work and live.

I have had a lot of contact with the staff and management of Successful Sutton in the past and know them to be dedicated and driven in their quest to improve our High Street for all users.
